Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is bothered by this. The night mode feature needs to be automatic- who wants to have to turn it on and off each day.

An option to use only super dimmed black and white (like Pebble watches) would be great, can both be used as night mode or prolong battery life.

I found a hack/short term fix for my brightness issues.....
You know those static cling tinted window blinds you can get for your car they make smaller versions of them to sell to cover up appliance lights.ie clock radio or fan indicators.

I have been using one of these on my watch face at night to cut down on the bright :light_bulb: light.

Just thought i would share..i cut mine down to size..you can find them on amazon

I'm manually disabling the "Quick View" option from the watch at night and enable in morning, not ideal but not deal breaker either.

The static cling idea is good, but I already have a screen protector on, so not sure how they would work together. Thinking I might try some sort of cover for the screen -fabric? -or just take it off at night. I don't find the sleep info of much use anyway. When I sit still reading, it thinks I'm sleeping!

I need to turnoff everyday so that quickview doesn't wake up my kid and wife. One year and no update on this?.
Fitbit, read the active threads please....

The FitBit app can detect when I am sleeping, as it logs this into my Sleep Activity. Perhaps when it detects I am asleep, my FitBit Blaze could go into a 'sleep mode', causing the screen to either dim to 10% of its current brightness, or to only display with the press of the side button.
This would save battery power and not scare the crap out of my wife when I turn in my sleep... 😄

Agreed! This annoys me very much. How many times have finally drifting off to sleep, change position, and get blinded by the Fitbit. Then I'm wide awake again.

I think a night mode is a must. Personally, when I go to bed I manually turn off notifications on the watch (swipe down from the top edge on the clock screen to access the quick control), but I also want to turn off quick view so I'm not accidentally blinded by light during the night. To do that, you have to scroll over to settings (six swipes left) and disable it there. It's just a bit clunky really!

My suggestion would be to move the granular notification on/off control over to the settings menu and replace it in the quick menu with a "stealth" or "night" mode that disables both notifications and quick view using one easy swipe down. I know this won't solve the problem of pressing buttons in your sleep, but it's the best I can do!

Alternatively, change the way the settings menu is accessed so that you can get to it more smoothly, and pad out the options there. Perhaps using a swipe in from the left edge on the clock screen. If you did that, there'd be no need for the notification quick link and you'd free up some real estate on the "swipe down" menu, allowing you to also beef up the music control screen a bit as a happy bonus.

Please add also to Alta. I wake myself up several times during each night because of my arm movements.

Thanks.

YES PLEASE.

love the quick view setting, but I find myself having to scroll all the way to settings and turn it off after it has been keeping me awake in the dark, and then I'm very annoyed when I forget to turn it back on.

I would love to see this feature added to.

I would love to see a schedule for night time hours for the Quick View on the Charge 2. My tracker lighting up at night when I am settling down in bed is annoying so I need to switch it to off every night. Having "night time" hours automatically set would be awesome!

Adding my vote to this feature request.  I love my Alta, except that it wakes me up every time I move my arm while sleeping.  Too bright!  Would love to be able to set times for no display, or to significantly dim the display.  I don't want to have to turn on/off Quick View every morning and every night.

Is there any way... Other than manually changing settings back and forth every night and morning... to set the charge 2 to enter a sleep mode at a certain time each night... So that the lights don't keep cutting on and off all night and the heart rate green strobes don't blind you at 2 a.m.?
Otherwise.... I love the product. But that.... Is a significant nuisance.

To all models. I wonder why this is not already made.

It's more annoying when wearing to track sleep and I turn over or move and the light comes on and wakes up either myself or my husband!!!!!

I would like to be able to set the times that quick view is active. Just like reminders to move. I've already blinded my poor hubby a couple times in the middle of the night when I forgot to turn the feature off.

Please consider implimenting this option for all devices that offer quick view.

Thank you!

Like this. If the tracker can track sleep can it not also know not to light up during the sleep period?

Any moderator that can provide insight on this necessary improvement? This could not only help our partners our ourselves in bed not be disturbed with the light going off while sleeping but also save some battery life right? Screen off = less battery

Good idea! Please consider?

When rolling over in my sleep, my fitbit-screen lights up the whole bedroom. This is annoying for both myself and my boyfriend. Since Fitbit quite accurately knows when I'm asleep, could it be possible to disable the auto screen during sleep-mode?
