Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

Hello @MoogJam,

I started a thread „Audience- or Theatre-Mode“ months ago because I had exactly this problem. Fitbit has changed the status to „Not currently planned“. So let‘s guess the chance of implementation...

I wish there was a way to dim the light at nighttime or have a bedtime feature to prevent the screen from coming on. It is really bright in the middle of the night.

My Charge 3 lights up every time I move in bed at night.  It is super bright & really irritating.  An update to put a sleep/night mode would be awesome.  Thanks

Also for the Charge 2 PLEASE. It's really annoying and I end up taking it off just to avoid arguing with husband.

I'd love this function as I keep waking my husband up when I move around during the night!

Having to manually turn off quick view every night is what made me return the Versa. Fix this issue, and I’ll buy one again without hesitation. Until then, I’ll keep wearing my traditional watches during the day and slipping on my Charge 2 (with quick view permanently off) only when sleeping and exercising.

And really, Fitbit, this seems like an easy solve. People have been begging for years.

+1 from me to. This is my #1 complaint about the charge 3. If the Brightness Auto worked, then this might be less of an issue. But  both my spouse and I wear our Charge 3 sleeping and invariably when one of rolls over there's basically lightning as one of our C3s is flashing at full brightness.

The C3 knows when I'm sleeping so TURN THE DISPLAY at least way DOWN if not off.

Or give me a schedule for brightness - from 10pm to 6am go on DIM!

I totally agree. There needs to be an option for night to have the display screen not so bright. I've woken myself and my husband up because of it. Maybe add it to the watch itself, not just the app.

I would love this on my charge 3!! I switched from a Gear fit 2 and that is one of the features I miss the most!

Yes! Please add a night mode!  Nothing worse than being blinded by my fitbit in the middle of the night.  It's also awkward when I'm in a theater to see movie, play, concert and my way-to-bright fitbit feels the need to show me the time.

I have a brand new Charge 3, and last night I wore it to bed for the first time. I woke up 25 times because quick view kept lighting up, bright as day. Usually I sleep like the dead. My other fitness band when into "sleep mode" when I was sleeping and needed a keypress in order to show the screen. It would be great if my FitBit did the same.

So I've been wanting a Charge 3 for a while now, but I'm holding off on buying new Fitbit products until they can make this change. Even just making the screen lighter during the hours of 10-7 would be great. I use my watch as a clock during the night, but don't want to have to shove it under the covers so I don't wake my boyfriend. Seems pretty simple.

I've only owned my Fitbit Versa for 4 days now and I'm on the fence about keeping. for 3 nights in a row my wife has punched me while asleep because "your stupid new watch brights up the room and wakes me" I have the Quickview set of off and Screenwake set to manual but the tap to wake still goes off if my watch touches something while sleeping.

This seems like a no brainer and I'm amazed it made it through to the final product that this feature isn't turned off by default while in sleep mode. Sure, still wake by the left button, but any other ways should be locked to avoid getting punched while asleep. Makes the product pointless fro sleep tracking if it wakes you up.

I just got a Charge 3 and love it so far. However, I have found it disturbing my sleep repeatedly when it lights up at night. Even with the 'screen wake' disabled, the button and tap are so sensitive that it illuminates. And the dimmest brightness setting is still enough to wake me if I'm in anything other than a deep sleep. It's disturbed my husband as well.

It would be nice to be able to set 'do not disturb' times, or even manually disable the screen. I still want to use the sleep tracker, but I don't want or need the screen to light up at night.

Wow over 3 years and still no Do Not Disturb mode. Think I just made a mistake buying a Fitbit charge 3. Wish I had seen this thread before I bought it. ☹️

Hi @cansado, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

I'm sorry @YojanaFitbit but I think it's rather misleading to say that this might gain "visibility and momentum" like it matters, considering that another mod had already replied saying you had no plans to implement this feature, despite the 6,600 upvotes and nearly 50 pages of comments requesting it.

I think that would be a great option, i really like your suggestion

Charge 3 wakes us up during the night when we move our hands.  There should be an option to disable the display from hand movement between certain hours.

If one wants to check the fitbit during the night,  only the double click should display the data.

Hey @Ftmail, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. This feature suggestion, about turning off the quick view feature while sleeping, already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is under consideration.

Instead of 'moving' this suggestion around all over the place maybe you
sould FIX THE ISSUE that thousands of your customers are complaining about -
you have a VERY BIG issue for something that should be VERY SIMPLE to fix.

This is my LAST fitbit based on this issue and how your company is
addressing (or not addressing) it

Hey Marcel, you say this feature is already there ???
Despite my frustration, I just bought a new Versa and the feature does not exist.
I have to remember to manually switch off quick view every night and again manually switch on every morning.
So can you please explain your statement that the feature is already there.
Thank You

@LPinto He means the suggestion already exists (with 6,000+ votes) rather than the feature. They said they have no plans to implement it so I don't know why this thread is even still going.
