Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

Please make the Fitbit waterproof for pools. Us swimmers will buy it! Plus the face needs better scratch resistance. Mine is looking pretty ragged. 😕

If it were possible to have a detachable accessory that you can put onto/around your Fitbit (different sizes for different Fitbits), that would be a great alternative for those who already have Fitbits that aren't waterproof. A vacum tight bracelet that seals the Fitbit around your wrist that can be worn with contact/intense sports as well as other water sports (ie: Water Polo, Surfing, Rock Climbing, Lifeguarding etc.) would also be an interesting idea that might bring a wider range of consumers to the market. I would be the first in line to add these accessories to my life!

It would be awesome if Fitbit would make a waterproof version if CHargett HR and Surge! Another product could be an attachment that could clip onto existing Fitbit so they could be used in water when needed. I would buy BOTH! My workout buddy uses a Polar just because it's waterproof - she would rather have the heart rate convenience of a Fitbit but won't switch because of the waterproof issue. Come on Fitbit - YOU CAN DO THIS! 🙂

WaterPROOFing, please! I love my ChargeHR and would like to wear it rafting. Since it is water resistant, it would probably be ok, and I have worn it in cool weather under a splash jacket, but I'd sure like to be able to use it in the water year-round.

It would be awesome if someone from Fitbit would chime in on these 13 pages of user comments about us all wanting our bel I ed Fitbit to be waterproof. I guess with the big Holiday selling season upon us, letting us know if a waterproof version is coming would stall Holiday sales. So Fitbit - how about on January 1st you let us know the answer to the waterproof question? #willFitbitwaterproof

30 meters minimum water resistance with swimming laps, speed, distance & heart rate. If this is done (Pebble is 30 meters capable) the watch will truly cover the entire market needs and TOP all rivals.

It was only a matter of time before my fitbit one made it's way to the washing machine.  My wife wears her's daily on her bra.  When she disrobes, there it is, a big black thing on her bra-strap...can't miss it.  But for me, I find it fits perfectly in that little pocket above the regular pocket in a pair of Levi's (always wondered what that pocket was for!).

So one morning I'm contratulated via my phone for doing 125 flights of stairs.  Nope, my One was not on me...sure enough, it was in the clean close pile awaiting to be rescued out of yesterdays jeans.  Lucky me, it still worked, but not so lucky after the 2nd washing...

I whole heartedly up-vote a waterproof FitBit One (or one-like device), just for us guys who will place it in their pocket a forget it on wash day.  I don't need it for swimming, surfing, bathing, etc... but just for Laundry Days.

Bump. This is a much needed feature. Swimming is such an amazingly effective fitness activity that it should definitely be possible to wear the Charge HR in the pool. If it only tracked activity by heartrate to computer calories burned and log the activity, that alone would be excellent!

Why oh why aren't all the Fitbit bands waterproof? I'd struggle to buy even the cheapest watch that wasn't shower and swim proof, understand that heartrate monitoring may be tricky in the pool, but many must want to record activity duration when swimming.

3 biggest Issues with current version of Fitbit Surge

The Surge's charger slow design and connector are very poor

The issue here is that you have to treat the device with lots of care when charging it, if you leave it at the wrong angle, the fitbit vibrates, this tells me that it disconnected and connected again, and the vibration feedback thus feeds this negative loop where the vibration disconnects it, several times a month I find that the fitbit is still dead after leaving it charging which is very frustrating.
I hope this slot gets a full redesign, maybe look at magnetic connectors (probably patented by effing Apple) or some alternate solutions. I'd take a good look at fixing this.

It's water resistant, not water proof.

The cause for it not being resistant according to what I read is the altimeter orifice.
Solution: add a mechanical switch to cover it, uncover it. (easier said than done, I know)

This is a big issue, specially if you're training for thriatlon, you can't know how your performance is when you're swimming, which creates a logistic nightmare (leaving the fitbit with the bike, thus wasting time to put it on during a race while you are getting ready for the biking portion)

It also leaves swimmers, surfers and every other water sport practicioner out of your market reach.

It also seems that the touch screen is affected greatly by sweat and water. The person that recommended me the fitbit had to return it after the touch screen stopped working, the same thing happened to me like 8 months in, I'm a runner and I sweat lots as soon as I start doing phisical activity. More on that next.

The touch screen gets in the way

I understand that after the iphone/ipad we live in a touch world, but this product doesn't really need to be a touch based product. For one, the screen is too small to do anything meaningful with touch, perhaps you should study an alternate way of using it with just buttons, perhaps one more button would be all you need. Easier said than done, I know.

The touch screen as I said on the prior subject is delicate to water/sweat, not that water resistant, you shouldn't call this product water resistant as it is now, you're probably footing a huge bill on returns/replacements due to issues with the touch screen, you can eliminate the issue altogether reduce your churn, increase your bottom line, also it might be cheaper to manufacture without touch. Keep it simple.

If your fingers are moist from sweat during a long distance run, it's a real pain to switch the display, to show you things like your heart rate, steps, pace and other indicators you might want to look at while you're running.

it'd be a better device IMO without the touch interface.

I would really like to see the all the upgraded fitbit products waterproofed. I'm an avid swimmer as well as water polo player and wish I could have my fit bit in the water with me, at least when I'm swimming laps.

Fitbit's stock dropped 5.64% after you guys unveiled the blaze. It can do literally everything the surge can except gps tracking. Like really? Who cares! Make a waterproof one that can be used for swimming/diving/water sports!!! Innovate not imitate. Your fitbit app UI is much better than Garmin it moov and combined with waterproof capabilities it would blow away apple, Samsung, or Motorola. Cmon fitbit, I'm trying to give you my money here!!
