I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When?? Please make this your next release!!!!!
One would think that with today's sophisticated technology and a company that comes out with new updates on models on a regular basis would take the time to waterproof something that is intended for active use. I can assure you I will not be buying a Fitbit until I can find a completely waterproof one and I am glad I did my research first. I was thinking of buying a charge 2.
Any fitbit devs on here? I would like to know if there is any way to turn on swim tracking for an Alta HR device if I get it waterproofed by waterfi? Will there be a Flex 2 HR?
I have disabilities and use the Fitbit other functions but cannot use it for exercise because the only exercise I can do is...WATER exercises!
Aqua-fit, Aqua-yoga that is it.
You are losing a large market - people with disabilities and retirees. We like to keep fit but a lot of us are limited to water exercising due to arthritis, joint pain and other chronic illnesses.
The only reason I haven't purchased a Fitbit yet is because there is not option for swimming other than the flex. My ideal Fitbit would be waterproof, able to tell time, have a notification setting and the ability to track heart rate. Swimming is my main source of exercise although I do a lot of walking for my job. However I don't see the point in getting one at the moment if I can't use it for what I want and need. I hope Fitbit sorts this out as I would love to join the Fitbit club!
I am looking for an activity tracker and love the fitbit, BUT...I need something that is both waterproof and can track heart rate. Fitbit must have the technology because I know they made the flex 2 waterproof and many of their competitors have come out with this feature. I was waiting on Fitbit hoping the new charge 2 would be waterproof, but it wasn't. I am now strongly considering getting another band with both these features.
I have a flex 2 and use it solely for water exercises, but I'm underwhelmed with its performance. I'd love a tracker that is waterproof AND tracks heart rate. There are plenty on the market, but I'm somewhat loyal to Fitbit and continue to hope they will figure it out... Soon!
I'm new to Fitbit (still deciding what to get as I've currently just been using my iPhone to track steps but I want more!) I absolutely love the Charge 2 features and all I can do with it (especially the screen functionality and size) and it's a good size for my wrist... but it's not waterproof 😭 I work with pets all day and am forever washing my hands and being elbows deep in water.... pretty please! (I would be the first to get it for sure!!!) ❤️
Y'all need to waterproof your more advanced trackers. Leaving the Flex and Flex 2 as your only waterproof tracks is a weak offering, in light of your competition, especially when folks like Waterfi have figured out how to do this. As a Single Dad, I have to take my tracker off a lot (dishes, messes, shower, pool days, etc.)! It's unnecessary and annoying! And then I forget to put it back on. A waterproof option would keep me a FitBit'er for LIFE!
Unfortunately, Fitbit doesn't seem to be interested in a swim proof/waterproof fitness tracker with higher functionality than Flex2. Looking at Garmin.
But Garmin doesn't have the sleep tracking that FitBit has. 😞
FitBit has a lot going for it. It's sad that this isn't one of their features. They recently acquired Pebble, so they should have the expertise in-house now. 😞
I would like to see more fitbit options that are waterproof. I would need a watch style tracker so I dont have to have something on each wrist. I am ok with my flex for now and like the interface. However, I do triathlons and will consider switching to brands that more support my activies down the road if not given options.
Some other ideas: A function on the app to track steps during specific time frame, almost like a stopwatch for steps. I work in natural resources and would like to keep track of my hikes. I do not want to have the tracker use GPS for this, both for privacy and data usage reasons, a simple extra counter should be easy programing. As it stands now I have to write down my start/end numbers and do the math.
When showing sleep patterns, add more time indexs, it would make tracking problem times each night easier. Hourly activity tracking already does this.
Please give me a way to see in percentage of battery life on my tracker, not just a generic icon.
I would like to see your Sport Watches be full functioning digital watches compete with a stopwatch, alarm, duel time mode and 12/24 hour time choices. All are things found on basic digital watches including my $15 Casio
I bought recently the Alta HR, 3rd device from Fitbit after Charge HR and Flex 2. I am tired to change device everytime I go swimming so, unless fitbit comes out with something with screen, HR and waterproofing, the Alta will be the last one and I will switch to another brand.
I really hope that Fitbit will release a waterproof tracker with a screen. As a swimmer i would like to be able to use my Fitbit when in the pool and I would like to be able to check my activity at the same time. The Flex 2 was a good idea but i feel a waterproof Fitbit with a screen would be more beneficial. I am hoping they release one soon.
I sure like my Flex 2. I thought I would miss having a screen (had a Charge HR before) but I don't. My favourite part is it is waterproof and has automatic swimming detection. I just wish it could keep track of my heart rate throughout the day.
Just accidentally took shower with Charge 2 I have had for 6 days. Luckily it did not appear to damage the unit, however, it scared me to think I just took a $150 bath. Future edition of your Fitbits need to be more than "water resistant". They need to be shower and swim proof ... at least up to 10 meters. Competitive products and one of yours already have this feature. Why not let all Fitbits go for a swim?
I'm not sure if this is already been suggested but I just got my fitbit flex 2 today mainly because it is swimproof, which is how I do most of my cardio exercising...i had to choose between a fitbit with a heart rate monitor and a fitbit that is swimproof. I always just assumed that all fitbits had a heart rate monitor and was slightly disappointed to learn that was not the case and they just estimate your calories burned. My fitness pal does that and it's a free app. I do like a lot of the fitbit flex features however please consider an affordable fitbit flex 3 with a heart rate monitor that is still swim proof.
I have the charger HR and love it. I also really love the new charger HR2 especially the lovely new design and it has everything except.......being waterproof!!!!😭 which is what has stopped me from upgrading. You know you can make a product that is waterproof as you have a fitbit that is. So why oh why haven't you made all your fitbits waterproof? I know that your fitbit sell exceedingly well but I think having the waterproofing for every fitbit would just increase the sales. PLEASE PLEASE make every fitbit waterproof!!!!
