Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

I LOVE your product so much! Many friends have joined and challenges are so much more fun but the only downfall we have is non of your products are truly waterproof! I have a few friends switching to garmin as they have a waterproof step tracker which I'm jealous about since taking a shower, swimming and getting caught in a downpour of rain worries me about ruining this product. I won't switch since I love Fitbit so much and it has helped me tons but I'm waiting for a new waterproof HR type to come out. Please please please come out with one!!!!

I would love a waterproof fitbit!  I use the One and I hate taking it off when I am going to the beach.  I don't swim in the ocean but I do go in the water to cool off.  So any beach equals no tracking because its too hot to leave in the car and I don't want take a chance of ruining it in the water.

If you don't want to waterproof it can you make a tiny waterproof pouch?

I really like my Fitbit and have been a loyal user for years. I think Im on my 3rd one?? However, I really wish you'd make a water proof model I could wear while swimming and kayaking. The new Garmin Vioactve HR is water proof. Unless you come out with something water proof, I may have to seriously consider switching. Is anything planned??

If Garmin has made waterproof watches that do what our fitbits do, Im sure fitbit can figure it out.

I am going to switch to something else or nothing. My Fitbit got wet once. They only offer a 25% off coupon. I am not paying for something I got for free thru my firm. I need a cheap step tracker that also works on Jiff.

I understand the limitations of the Fitbit line so could there be a "waterproof" accessory for swimming? Perhaps stripped down in features (GPS and heart rate) and sealed with battery that lasts X years and has Bluetooth for syncing. Maybe a headband for the GPS feature.

All my water fitness students are using Garmin for this reason.

How about, at very least, a lap counter that syncs to Fitbit? (Surge)

My question is, as the Blaze can be removed from its strap to charge, why can't there be a swim case strap for it like you get swim cases for cameras?

This could be reasonably compact and would not test the capabilities of the technology.

Fitbit... Are you listening?  We (the loyal fitbit community) want something we can swim with.  We don't want to buy a garmin but you are not leaving us with many options.  Is there anything in the pipeline?

Is there anyone from fitbit out there?

I had my Fitbit Alta waterproofed with WaterFi in California and it's working beautifully in pool, ocean, bath & shower but its pricy! Wish Fitbit would do it before purchase😀

That service blocks the altimeter hole so "floors" won't be counted and voids the Fitbit warrantee.

Probably need to start going to social media....Twitter/Instagram etc and posting to FitBit and FitBit support.  I have been following this for awhile and waterproof is one of THE HOTTEST topics on the board....If they consolidated the waterproof topics (Brands etc, it may be #1). But, as long as it stays on the FitBit board it stays relatively "internal" compared to Twitter etc with taglines.  I've posted to support and to the main page and get the standard, canned "Thank You"....all your great comments need to go mainstream!! #waterprooffitbit #fitbit4life.

As people have posted, some have paid for aftermarket waterproofing, extra expense, possibly voids the warranty... It's time for FitBit to step up and integrate waterproofing into a model. PLEASE!! If it eliminates a feature (Stairs counted)...so be it....people that want that feature have options with other FitBit models....that is the GREAT part about FitBit.  I will say....I have owned at least 5 models myself.(mulitples of the old clip-on)...and with our family...many more.  We have the scale....we give them to our extended family as gifts...they are easy and for the most part...durable.  That said, the 1ATM water rating is NOT SUFFICIENT for everyday use around water...I fly fish and have ruined two just dipping my hand in the river landing a fish....you are playing the lottery if you shower or wear it around water.  Love FitBit....the product, the support, the company.....but it is time for a truly waterproof model!!  Please #fitbit4life #waterprooffitbit  Thanks!

Water fi is rubbish, it does not work and is just someone trying to rip people off. Because the fitbit will not be pressure tested for any depth of water.

For swimming, just put your fitbit one into a small ziplock. But I do not understand fitbit resistance to making a waterproof case available. Clearly the demand is there, and I am thinking that they do not read these posts. I am not convinced that the software recognizes the various swim strokes as 'steps', so this is something that they would have to add.

I have a surge and I'm losing out on so many steps because I'm in Jamaica and have to keep taking it off to get in the pool and swim on the beach. Please make a water proof version for swimming!!!!

I've read there are 2 new products coming out in the next few months, surely one of them has to be waterproof, if it means no stair count no problem for me. A Blaze with GPS & Waterproofing would keep me away from Garmin 🙂

Fitbit when it released the Surge it stated that it was tested to 5bar ATM which is 50m. Then Fitbit with drew the claim after the problem of peoples skin reacting to the charge straps. This is one of the original reviews that made me by the Surge, through running my Surge has got very wet in the rain and I have never had a problem http://www.techradar.com/reviews/gadgets/fitbit-surge-1270574/review/4

They just have to provide us with a waterproof case in which the fitbit can be places when partaking in water sports.
