YouTube Music App

It's been almost a month now and a huge product like the Fitbit has only a couple of apps, and one music app. So I was hoping you guys can add the YouTube Music app, since it allows access to a huge selection of music videos and audios. Also the app have 100 song downloaded for offline use. It chooses them based on your taste and updates them every now and then.

Pretty disappointed that this still hasn't happened.  I use YouTube Music over Spotify and Deezer.

Yes, Please!! I have a paid subscription to Youtube music and it would be amazing to be able to use that for the music on my fitbit instead of having to buy another subscription. Especially considering I use YouTube music on all my home devices.I'm hoping now that google owns fitbit that it's in the works! I didn't realize that I had to have a paid sub to one of the 3 offered music platforms, so I went through the process of downloading, making accounts and installing only to find that out. I'm not going to pay for multiple music apps. So, I had to uninstall all of them. Not fun.

I have created a petition on Change.Org.  Let's see if we can flood their inboxes to get this accomplished.

I too would love a basic YouTube Music app for Fitbit watches.  I just got a Sense so I didn't have to wear both the LG smartwatch and the Fitbit Charge 4 I was wearing and miss being able to pause music playback on the phone from my watch.  I don't use Spotify, Pandora or Deezer, so those apps are pretty useless for me.

I want to add my voice to those asking for a YouTube Music app be added for Fitbit.  I have a Versa 3, and I would love to be able to at least control my YouTube Music app from my watch while I am exercising or working in the yard.  Please make this happen!

This will help the team of developers to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote and to keep track of popularity and demand over time. Don't forget to add your vote and comments to Support this idea. 

 

Regarding the integration with Amazon Music, I recommend that you also vote for this idea posted in the forums.

I think it is wiser to wait for a flagship watch from Google, it may see the light of day well before the integration of youtube with Fitbit

suggestion !!
My suggestion was for YouTube Music AND Amazon Music
You have moved it to one for just YouTube Music which is incorrect.

Anyway I have submitted a separate suggestion for Amazon Music for my Versa 3

 

I also note that this suggestion you have moved mine to does not specify Versa 3 !!!

Yes please. You tube music on versa 3. I am from Taiwan and you tube music quality is much better than spotify.

I don't understand why, when this idea went into the stage of being "Under consideration", it's stuck there despite the owners of YouTube Music being the same parent as Fitbit since January 2021?

 

There's a cost to Premium, there's a cost ti YouTube Music premium and yet with both susbscriptions, you still don't have cross platform support?  It's disappointing at the least.  Please get this resolved or suggest to your parent company that they give up with Fitbit OS and shift Wear OS to the trackers instead!

Well, I did it.  I cancelled YT music and went to spotify.  I guess that's what they are secretly hoping for cause this lack of support is mind boggling.  How hard is it to add an app that adds basic controls.  It's not like some full featured mp3 player.

 

Anyway, for those considering switching, they did add lyrics to Spotify which was something I really liked about YT music. But it's even better with because it highlights and follows with the song.

 

It's 1 more dollar for the family plan.

 

Integration with both alexa and nest home, which is nice since yt music doesn't work on alexa

 

better social/share/recommend features

I just want to be able to control Youtube Music - skip songs, change volume etc. I can do it from my cheap Xiaomi MiBand, but had to return a fitbit I received as a gift because it lacked this feature.

The Fitbit's Bluetooth Classic connection to my phone provides standard music controls ... and includes volume and does that well for what ever the active music player is (YT Music, Samsung Music, Youtube, Subsonic).  What it is lacking is the tiighter integration with YT Music such as ability to "Like" a song.  This is the feature I am missing.  YT Music uses your Likes to create play lists.  Being able to do this from the watch would save me having to go over to my phone, open it up, click like.Hope that explains better.Sent from my Galaxy

Google is releasing its own smartwatch by 2022. It's worth the wait a few tiny weeks ... This topic is almost 5 years old.. it looks like that Google does not seem to bet specifically on the technological advancement of Fitbit watches it is content to collect the money made by the sale of these 👍

Google completed its $2.1 billion acquisition of Fitbit in Jan 2021

I am surprised that an alphabet owned device didn't YouTube music installed. 

I'm in the Google ecosystem, and have come to expect similar experiences throughout my devices.
