I just discovered one of my metal pieces is gone. Is watch safe to use without the metal piece? The watch is a Fitbit sense 2 purchased from Amazon January 7, 2023. Can watch be fixed?

Happened exactly the same to me, only 1 fell off, i never took a bath nor swim with it, don't know what to do, i think gluing it it's not a smart option.

Thanks for your reply.
I don't know where the piece went. I never got mine wet either. Mainly want to know if watch is safe to wear and charge.

sorry about the issue - I’ve been wearing Fitbits for many years and this is a known problem . I am wearing a 35% off Sense 2 I bought through Fitbit support when my original Sense 1st gen died prematurely- so far OK. You should contact support . I also have a spare Fitbit Sense 2 that I bought used and it eventually had the contacts fall off the back . I bought a new back from an electronics shop in Washington state and my electrical engineer son in law (who worked for Fitbit years ago ) repaired in January . He pulled the contacts off the replacement back and used the special glue - very carefully ! I hope you can get some satisfaction on the issue . I like the shape of the Fitbit sense 2 and the functionality of the app as does my wife - but I will got to another brand eventually

Thank you for your reply. I love the watch. It is sad it has this quality flaw with the sensor plates falling off.

When the second piece fell off today, I realized it was from my sense 2. The first one was found in the car a few months ago, but we had no idea where it came from.

Seems it is a common problem.

You can't glue together. Works fine without.

You should reach out to customer support - they can advise you. If it’s out of warranty they may offer you a discounted replacement - it’s a known issue that a lot of us fellow Sense 2 owners have dealt with . The metal piece is a sensor for ECG readings -

Click on your photo in the app - it takes you to a help page. All the way at bottom of that page is a contact support choice

I bought the replacement pc. But, I am on vacation right now & don't have the shops name that I ordered the part from. I still haven't put the pc on though, it's working fine- but it's just nagging me. Will updste with info later.

Nope, customer support was useless.
I can live without the ECG readings, but I have noticed with those off my watch seems to reboot periodically. Not sure it is related, but only started since they came off.

I noticed recently that my sync isn't matching my phone readings on battery percentage and heart rate. Might be more. My steps match though.

This has just happened to mine too. Just one fell off. Had since Jan 2024. Not sure if it should therefore be covered by warranty?

Warranty is 1 year. Your Warranty has already ended.
