I would reach Fitbit through chat. They replaced mine when out of warranty

Mine fell off a long time ago and I had read that Fitbit wasn't covering them under warranty. I tried gluing them on, but it didn't last long. I haven't worn mine in over 6 months now. I had gotten it as a Christmas gift in 2023. Didn't last a year. I tried wearing it without them and I ended up getting rashes in the spots where the metal was. I was very disappointed in the product. I'm not sure how I didn't see this string before, although it's not always easy to find specific conversations in forums. I would like to know how I could still get a replacement under warranty.

I’m having the same issue. 😞 How can I solve this?

I purchased mine August 2023 and after reading comments on here decided to contact them on live chat just in case a couple of weeks ago. They told me it was still covered and generated an exchange, I had to send my face of my Fitbit back and once they received it they’ve sent me a brand new face, so it’s definitely worth a try as it seems to be a common fault with the Fitbit.

Hello -
My fitbit sense 2 watch has lost one of the 2 metal covers on the back side of the watch. I just noticed it last week and have no idea where the metal cover went - as it started to irritate my wrist. I remove the watch daily and never get it wet. I'd like to get it replaced or repaired. Please advise.

Same thing just happened to me. I found a piece Sunday and then the other came off today. At first I had no clue what it was. But the 2nd piece I found in bed and put 2 and 2 together.

If you are out of warranty - Fitbit Support might still help you. There is a repair shop in Washington State that sells a special glue - it’s tricky to glue these pieces on .

Hi, this just happened to me this morning. I’m not sure where the metal piece is. It’s gone. Is there a way I can send it back to Fitbit to get a new one issued to me ?

Contact support. If it's under warranty yet, they'll likely send you a new one. I've done this twice now for sure. Potentially, a third time if they send me one as they mentioned they were going to. I am out of warranty and they originally sent me a 35% off email, but then decided to replace it.
I haven't seen an email indicating this is actually happening, but I plan on following up on Monday. Typically, they send me an email to print off a label to ship the Fitbit back. Then, once they receive it, they ship a new one.
My guess is they feel bad this has happened to me 3 times now. Time will tell.

Oh and when you ship it back only send the watch itself. Don't send the bands back. They only ship back the watch and not the band. I forgot this the last time and ended up needing to buy a new band.

No such luck here. 35% discount. Given the scale that is unreliable, the iconic recall, and the clear quality/design flaw with these, I think it is time to get away from Fitbit. I have a subscription and probably went renew for myself or my girlfriend.
The 35% is something but when buying thru Amazon, in comparison, not enough to make me take a chance on hoping a device is made any better going forward. They need to work on their quality, design and durability and treat customers better until they do if they want to keep 'em.
