If you are out of warranty - Fitbit Support might still help you. There is a repair shop in Washington State that sells a special glue - it’s tricky to glue these pieces on .

Hi, this just happened to me this morning. I’m not sure where the metal piece is. It’s gone. Is there a way I can send it back to Fitbit to get a new one issued to me ?

Contact support. If it's under warranty yet, they'll likely send you a new one. I've done this twice now for sure. Potentially, a third time if they send me one as they mentioned they were going to. I am out of warranty and they originally sent me a 35% off email, but then decided to replace it.
I haven't seen an email indicating this is actually happening, but I plan on following up on Monday. Typically, they send me an email to print off a label to ship the Fitbit back. Then, once they receive it, they ship a new one.
My guess is they feel bad this has happened to me 3 times now. Time will tell.
---
Oh and when you ship it back only send the watch itself. Don't send the bands back. They only ship back the watch and not the band. I forgot this the last time and ended up needing to buy a new band.

I had one side fall off, too! Is it safe to wear without it?

I also have had this same issue; it fell off this weekend but I was out of town and I have no idea where I may have lost the metal trim. How can we get this fixed if we bought it used off Amazon?

Did Amazon have a warranty on this ? Did you register it with Fitbit ? Not sure what you paid but there are parts available at a repair shop in Washington State (do a search for Joes ) There are videos out there .

Thank you for your response. I bought it from Fitbit's official store on Amazon in August, but because it was opened and used (basically brand new though), no warranty was given. I'm in Arizona, so I'll check out replacement pieces and tools, I would rather just have them fix it as it is their product.

You should call Fitbit support definitely ! When you said you bought used I figured it was third party . Good luck !
---
PS - I bought a 3rd party used one last May as my original Sense 1 died out of warranty . We were leaving for Europe so I grabbed one one used .. . Fitbit had offered me a 35 % discount on a new sense 2 which I bought from them when we got back from Europe . The used one had the same problem as yours did but have a spare now - and I was able to get the parts from a third party . It was a lot of trouble .

I've just experienced the same issue with my device. This is the second Fitbit I've owned that developed problems just weeks after the warranty expired. Like others, I contacted support and was offered a 35% discount on a new device. However, given the cost of replacements, it's clear that either the warranty period should be extended or the discount should be more substantial. Most people can't afford to buy a new device every year at these prices. Fortunately, I have the means to repair this properly myself, but I’ll be exploring more reliable alternatives.

I was an early adopter and pre-ordered the Sense 2 before it was officially available. I ended up receiving three refurbished replacements. The reason? Believe it or not – the metal contact piece kept falling off, and one of the replacements was defective right out of the box (bootloop).
While the first replacement was covered by warranty and relatively hassle-free, the process for the second and third was, let's just say, complicated. The most recent replacement lost its first metal contact after less than nine months – on May 5th, to be exact.
I've had enough. I’ve now switched to a smartwatch from another brand – and it’s so much better! Today, I deleted my Fitbit data and closed my account. I won’t be coming back to Fitbit. The quality issues have been there from the start – I also had problems and had to get replacements with my Charge 3 back then.

Updating my previous post. Glued the bottom piece back on using E6000. A week later the top piece came off. Glued it as well with E6000. I used a tiny paintbrush the 1st time and a toothpick the second time to apply the glue to the metal piece and the watch itself. Cleaned old glue off 1st with alchohol swab. So far is holding for a few weeks. I agree with many posts. Quality is disappointing. So many users having the same problem right after warranty end? My last Fitibit had the same problem. Right after warranty end the heart rate sensor stopped working. I love Fitbit bit won't buy again without extended warranty or may buy amother brand. Not encouraged to buy a Google watch after what has happened yo Fitbit.

This happened to me as well. I do not shower with it and I've never been swimming with it. It's now 2 years old and the same thing happened to the previous one. Fitbit needs to figure out a way to have a more durable glue to hold these metal plates on.
