Battery draining after 2 hours on my sense 2 since last update. Used to last 5 days before update. I did factory reset and this made no difference.

Hello there @Maeve36, welcome to the Fitbit Community.

I'm glad to see you take the time to share your questions with us, I'll be happy to assist you.

The initial battery life of your Sense 2 can last up to 6 days, but this can vary depending on usage.

Here's a breakdown of how different features affect battery life:

  • Always-on display: Up to 3 days
  • Built-in GPS continuously: Up to 5 hours

Please take a look at the following article to better understand and know other factors that can affect your device's battery: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Hi. My battery went from five days to 5 hours after the update. I didn’t change any of my user settings.

Hey there @Maeve36

As mentioned before, a high usage of GPS can make your device last only 5 hours.

Please make sure to turn it off once you have done with your workouts. I suggest to take a look at this article where you can find the whole explanation of the GPS usage: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

I am done with Fitbit. I have been using Fitbit products for about 8 years . I know I wasn’t using GPS too much. I am fed up of your sneaky updates which push users to upgrade or change their device

Well I’m voting with my feet and am moving to Garmin

Thanks for nothing Fitbit

Mine is the same. It was working fine until yesterday now I charge it overnight and when I put it on at 9am this morning it was fully charged, by 11:30 am it says 0%. I don’t understand.

This is surely now a 'known issue' due to the failed software update.

Don't listen to anyone from Fitbit/Google disingenuously suggesting it is because of GPS usage.

I have a sense and I did a factory reset last night, reinstalled everything and the battery went from 100% to dead in about 3 hours. I was watching tv. No activity. It’s now a paper weight

Fitbit are a disgrace. This isn’t the first device that I have had rendered useless by an update. Similar happened to the Aria weighing scales a few years ago. Not only was their recent change to the app on the phone a huge disappointment but now this. Their response is  appalling.
