I'm just about ready to send back this brand new watch with beautifully redesigned hardware and hideously reduced software features compared to the previous watch. Third party app development and commercial app availablility (Spotify, Google pay, etc.) is such an integral part of what has made these watches great. And now that is all gone. The new watches have great hardware just waiting for it's usual feature set, but features there are not.

If you bought a brand new car just to be told that they ditched the radio and power steering, despite last year's model having both features, you'd likely be pretty disappointed. These watches shouldn't be getting worse with newer models.

Hi @owenr930  - if you are not happy with the watch because of the missing features, Fitbit offer a 45 day refund and stores may offer a 14 to 30 day refund.

HI @Jordan.Arendt - an original Sense has features not found on the Sense 2 and is cheaper too.

Some missing things you will almost definitely not find on a Sense 2, as they have specifically been removed.

If you are unhappy with the watch Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy and some stores 14 to 30 days.

Hi,

It's been 3 months since I'm using fitbit sense 2. Apart from time nothing is working fine nor calls. Google map and wallet are not in the picture. I feel sense 2 is waste of money. It's high time fitbit or google should think of refunding or replacing with any other brand.

It's difficult to say we paid 25 k just see time.

Hope you understand.

Thanks,

Sandeep HB

When you are upgrading to a better watch you would expect the same or better features in the new watch.  I had Google Calendar on my versus 2.  why can't I have it on my Sense 2?

Best Answer

Is there any way possible to add different apps to my new sense to like I was able to with my verse?

Best Answer

Unfortunately, no.

Why is the Google Pixel Watch so good and the Sense 2 is complete trash!? Why should I not just by the Google Pixel Watch? I loved my Fitbit Versa 3 and was looking forward to getting the Sense 2. For my birthday, I got the Sense 2 and was very disappointed. No third-party apps, constant bugs and missing features. Please make the Sense 2 better!

Best Answer

Too late for most of us who have worn it only to find out that Fitbit has no plans yet to update it with the features that the original Sense has.

Hi Lizzy,

Would you guys be able to release a roadmap/list of upcoming planned features? It might stem the tide of complaints and returns. Or at least, help us make a decision either way.

If there was at least an update coming to add music controls to control the music playing on my phone, I'd probably keep my Sense 2 that I just bought as I really like the feature set and design otherwise.

But if not, I'm returning it and am likely to get a competitor's product.

@MattH665 Fitbit never released roadmap and I don't see it happening this time. In fact, in case of Sense 2 and Versa 4 the communication with users has been kept at bare minimum levels. Don't set your hopes high. If any improvement is to arrive we will know at time of arrival. That's how it works here. There was just one FW update for Sense 2 so far which brought Google Wallet (well... Fitbit's interpretation of Google Wallet) and surprisingly, backed out of some bad Sense 2 design decisions (finally, removed fade-in effect and brought back turning off screen on palm hovering). This however shows how little is going on and after a few months we pretty much have same set of features as on launch day. Would road map really help here? I got Fenix 7 at same time as Sense 2 and until now received several updates already for F7 minor fixing issues and major bringing new features. Hence, my perception of Sense 2 development - slow and not really focused on fixing the product. One would expect the company would address certain issues before xmas time but instead we see increased activity of new users posting same issues as we've been reporting on launch of the device. Decision is yours where you go from here.

What kind of a company makes a new upgraded model and then strips everything possible away and makes it as basic as possible, and then increase the price.

It should stand to reason, that a new version should have the same service as the previous watch, but improved.

What you guys did, was take a samsung s20 and make and s8 but charge more than the s20.

Is Pixel watch really good?  I may consider using it for organization etc and a cheap fitbit for basic health tracking.  Not what I want, but don't need the frustration of an expensive health tracker that doesn't perform.

@t.parker Ok that's disappointing to hear. Think I need to return it then.

Such a shame. it's so close to being perfect for me. Just baffling business decisions at this company.

I've looked up the Pixel Watch as an option but the battery life seems really poor so I don't think I'll get that.

Hi @jaqi_65 - if good battery life is a requirement the Pixel won't meet your needs, as it may have to be charged every day, and possibly twice.

If the store allows you to return "open boxed" items.  Mine does not 😞

Hi @barbapapa - some may not, however you can chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support.  Alternatively ask your credit card about coverage and refund action.
