Update button won’t press

There is a firmware update I need to install and I go through the whole process but when it gets to the end, the update button won’t press. I’ve restarted my Fitbit and phone multiple times.

I think they are trying to push people up to a more sophisticated watch which I happily would if they were iPhone compatible. 😵‍💫

We did a factory reset which included the update firmware and it was seamless

I want to buy one of these, but this issue is making me hesitate.  Wish there was some obvious support here!

Same boat as everyone else. 

Factory reset the Fitbit 4 times now. Have unpaired/removed it from the phone, the Fitbit app, both, before and after doing the reset, basically every iteration and combo of the things suggested that I can try and I still can’t click the freaking “update” button. 

if I scroll up and down on that page (the final “not now” or “update” one in the App) I can actually make the update button *blink* AS IF it’s being pressed if I click on it fast enough, and yet nothing happens. 

Literally took the watch out of the box an hour ago, and have been fighting it ever since . 

it’s just going back at this point.

If the screen will not work to get to settings, then you cannot do a factory reset...Be thankful that your Fitbit allowed you to get that far.

am having the same issue and it is the app that is faulty I have followed all the recommended steps and it still does not work.  

Fitbit needs to fix this bug!!!!!

I even bought another Fitbit device in the hope it would work and still no go

Hi everybody! Thank you for your messages and feedback. 
I get where your frustrations come from. 

Please make sure that you have the latest Fitbit App installed. 
Verify that you have a strong internet connection ( wifi/mobile data)

For the best results we recommend not to have other Bluetooth devices connected or near the phone while the update is being installed.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the update button did not work even with the suggestion.

I spent a lot of time repeating the disconnect, delete, reboot and re-install process and it finally worked. Not touching anything unless required. Not looking forward to the next update! 😫

In order to investigate this, could you please provide us with the phone model, and it's operating system? (eg. Pixel Phone 7 Android 11, iPhone 15 iOS18.2.1, etc. )

The side button held for 10 secs does nothing

It seems that there is a misunderstanding. The issue that is being discussed here is the button in the prompt about the Firmware update in the Fitbit App. 

Yours seems to be that the physical button on the Sense 2 does not work. 

If so, let me know so that I can address your issue better.
