Update button won’t press

There is a firmware update I need to install and I go through the whole process but when it gets to the end, the update button won’t press. I’ve restarted my Fitbit and phone multiple times.

I am having the same problem.
I’ve tried it with my iPhone and even tried with iPad. The button doesn’t work on either.
And yes, I disconnected and removed from bluetooth before switching.

Hi @arlenecl and welcome @ErikRub to the Fitbit community. I hope you are doing well.

Allow me to help you with the Firmware update of your Sense 2 that is not launching.

Since you are talking about a button on the Fitbit app, the issue may be related to the app itself. So, the basic troubleshooting i'm proposing to resolve this issue goes as follows :

If the issue persiste, uninstall and the reinstall the app back to your mobile. This procedure has shown to be a great solution for general issues related to the app. I appreciate your time in this process.

Hi I did this and it still isn’t working. I forced a quit on the app. Deleted it, reinstalled the app and still says there is an update available and the exact same thing happens. You press the button and nothing happens. Both the device and my phone are plugged in and are at 100% battery.

I have the same problem - Fitbit Ace 3 connected to iPad, watch is connected to Bluetooth, plugged in and charging and syncing, but pressing firmware update button does nothing.  Says there is an update. Rebooted, reset, etc, still doesn’t work. Google bug?

IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM

ME TOO!!

I ALREADY DID ALL THAT. MORE THAN ONCE.

IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THIS IS A FITBIT PROBLEM, NOT OUR PROBLEM I WOULD HOPE THEIR TEAM WILL GET THIS FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I would think it would be an easy fix for Fitbit since there is a variety of phones all having the same problem. Get on it Fitbit!!!

I am also having this problem with my versa 4. I’ve tried everything that’s been suggested and still no luck.
my Fitbit also keeps dying at about 30% and the battery runs flat so quick. When I try and turn it on, it often comes up with a big red ‘X’ on the screen. I don’t know what’s going on. Wouldn’t expect it from a 2 year old device

Call customer service. I don’t know what that would be. It’s maybe your phone.

Having same issue, my child’s Fitbit ACE 3.  Pressing the button does nothing.  You can tell that it is being pressed, just nothing happens. Have tried every single option, including installing the app on my own phone signing in as my child connecting the Bluetooth to my phone and trying to update it then.  No luck.  Appears that issue is with the FitBit app… not with any of our phones or FitBit. I saw that the app update a few days ago, and I was hoping it was to fix this issue… But nope.  My child, who is on the spectrum is extremely upset as they love their Ace 3 and now it’s just a blank screen that they can’t use at all until this is fixed.

I left a review on the app and there was no reply and I think they discarded my review. Everyone seems to be having the same problem and I don’t get why they can’t fix it! I’m sorry your child’s device was affected. Go leave comments in the app. Maybe if enough people show their displeasure they will fix it. 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:

Is your Fitbit paired with and iPhone? I’m using and iPhone 14 and sense 2. Everything was working until a week or so ago.

Yes. It is paired to my iPhone. I don’t believe this is a phone problem. I believe this is a Fitbit issue that Fitbit needs to fix!

Yes. It’s paired to my daughters iPhone 15, but when the button in app didn’t work I unpaired it so could pair to my iPhone 16, but update button in app doesn’t work on 16 either

Hi I had the same problem finally contacted them, they made me do a hard reboot (go to settings on your watch, hit factory reset) takes some time, finally when it’s back, go to your phone settings forget the device in Bluetooth, and re add it. Then the update button works.
