Hello, is anyone else getting very low voltage readings when taking an ECG with the new fitbit ECG app? I downloaded the app yesterday, and all readings are almost flat but declared 'normal' by the app. I am trying to add a screenshot, but so far the forum is not letting me.
I sit still when taking the ECG and am of normal weight, in my twenties but not in the best shape due to working from home the past 6 months. The reason I got this watch was because of tracking insomnia, since there are days where I'm so exhausted my chest hurts. Didn't expect these results though and am reading into interpreting single lead ECGs.
If anyone has tips that would be greatly appreciated!

Here's an example reading which is similar to the other readings.

This looks like a contact problem. Make sure your index finger and thumb are in firm contact with the opposite corners of the top metal rim and that you are pressing the watch down upon your wrist.

Thanks, but sadly this makes no difference. Loose, normal, tight, all give the same results. I tried cleaning the watch, warming my hands, but to no avail.

I assume you aren't using any screen protectors. Position the watch on the inside of your wrist, then take the ECG. If that doesn't work, then perhaps it's a defective watch.

I tried it on the inside of my wrist, but it didn't change much. And no screen protectors.
I let someone else use the watch and their reading was normal with clear waves, so I guess it's me.

Yves, I have seen your ECG and I think maybe you could better see a doctor if you're afraid that there's something wrong with your health. If I look at my ECG made with the Sense it's almost identical with the one my doctor made some weeks ago.

Hi YvesNL. With regard to Chronoswiss' comment, did you get medical advice on this? I would be interested in the cause.

Hello,
Due to the current pandemic it's not possible to visit a GP in my clinic for something that is not urgent, so I did not get medical advice. I did buy a 6-lead consumer ECG (Kardia 6L) which had exactly the same results as the Sense, so it's not an issue with the Sense.

Hi YvesNL. Since you have a Kardia, please see this video - https://vimeo.com/262643364

Thank you FloppyDrive, but I have already tried everything mentioned on the blog. Wetting my fingers and making a lead II recording as mentioned in the video does show clearer waves, but still a maximum amplitude of 5 blocks. Which looks fine when zoomed in, but in the PDF it's still quite flat. When the infection rate in my country will be less severe, I will send the PDF to my GP and let her decide whether it needs attention 🙂 Thanks everyone!

Hi Yves just wondering if you were able to check the ECG with your family doctor. My husbands looks very similar ...

Hello OlaF86, I also am getting these low voltage readings. Did your husband ever find out anything about his? Thanks.

This is an old post but the results look like my after heart failure. Hopefully you saw a doctor
