@Gadgit Yeah it still sets the bar for smartwatches, except for battery life of course. There's been Apple Watches with a SIM, it's an eSIM. Plus, I think the noncellular versions can still take calls with WiFi.

No sim not on my daughter and her boyfriends watches did a 40 mile ride he left his phone at home it still connected,  mad and make and receive calls on top . I'm not a fan of the phones but love the watch , it's coded to the phone sim so it works of the towers like that and wi-fi I looked it up and some have a 1 off charge of £10 to do this I think the older versions.  But cool 😎 and buttons and looks like a watch . Battery life is probably the same as the sence if I do a workout and put watch I  exercise mode it uses loads of battery.  Or just runs flat it wouldn't do iron man competition.  Apple will . As two of my friends have Apple v sence, apple did it and his sence the battery died.  Apple died but after he finished.  Just and that's a big challenge for a watch . They could use that in an add 🤣🤣 26 mile run 3 mile swim in open water and 140 mile bike ride in 1 day .😬Sent from Samsung Mobile on O2

@Gadgit Then it depends on the country and carrier. Maybe it is free for them over there but it's extra for US carriers

That's kind of surprising you say the battery life would be the same or worse for the Sense when tracking a workout since the Sense is rated at 12 hours during an outdoor workout with GPS while the Apple Watch Series 7 is rated at 7 hours.

However, the Sense is rated at a 6 days which is kind of ideal so maybe 12 hours GPS is an ideal as well.

Update:

I tracked an outdoor workout with GPS for 107 minutes and used 14% of my battery. That's a rate of 7.6 minutes per 1%. That would be an estimated 13 hours at that rate so I think my Sense would actually hit the 12 hours of outdoor GPS tracking that they list.
