Google assistant started disconnecting again from my Sense. This happened to me for a few weeks last year, but it was solved by fitbit. Now it's happening again. I reconnect, and after a couple of hours the watch says I have to reconnect Bluetooth again. Anyone else having the same issue?
I'm having the same problem with assistant, just in the last few weeks. Was there an update? I have to keep turning my phone's Bluetooth off then on again and assistant works once maybe twice. But then I get "Reconnect to Bluetooth" error when I try to use it again.
Reset watch, restart phone, etc.
Used to work any time I'd try
Best Answer@Swimfan02066 I'm having the exact same issue!
Normally when I turn Bluetooth off then in again, it still doesn't work and I can't get my app to sync. So I restart both my phone and watch and usually that doesn't even help. I'm not even sure what the fix is that makes it work.
Best Answerthe only way is to uninstall the google app updates, try to connect with the assistant from the fitbit app (it should work after a few tries), then update the google app from the play store, but you have to reset some things from the google app (for example "voice match"). This every day because during the night it disconnects, and it's a nuisance
Best AnswerI am so fed up with my fitbit. I tried connecting to Google Assistant and it disconnects everyday. I have to reconnect to bluetooth EVERYDAY! I tried switching back to Alexa and it won´t connect to my account. I did a factory reset on my fitbit. I deleted the cache on my phone. I rebooted my phone. I am tired of having to do all this. My daughter has an Apple watch and has NO trouble.
Best AnswerThanks for the suggestion - unfortunately it didn't do the trick for me. I still had to turn Bluetooth off, then on, and only got Assistant one time after doing that.
But it freed up space on my phone, clearing the cache, so that's a positive!
Best AnswerAny update on when it's likely to be fixed?
My google assistant won't connect at all now.
Really messing with my life when I rely on using google assistant for setting reminders through the day due to my executive functioning issues.
Same issue here - since about a week ago I can no longer connect at all. It's gone from annoying to completely broken.
@EstuardoFitbit- how can we get this escalated? This is pretty obviously a recent bug in either Android or the Fitbit software.

Thanks again for the heads up, guys.
As mentioned, the issue is being looked into and has already been escalated.
Rest assured, we're working hard to find a solution.
For a few months now the connection to google assistant on my Versa 3 has been unreliable and it would often need re-activating through the fitbit app. As of a couple of weeks it won't connect at all. I receive the message "Couldn't connect to your watch. Double-check that Bluetooth is turned on and make sure that your watch is close by".
I've tried restarting my phone, restarting the watch, a factory reset of the watch and clearing fitbit and google app data all to no avail.
Is this a known issue? Is anyone else experiencing this? What are my next troubleshooting steps?
Thanks in advance!
Best AnswerGlad to see I am not the only one. But also sad for the same reason.
As.of this week I can't seem to keep the Google Voice connected at all. Today after logging out of Fitbit app, clearing app cache, logging back in, setting up Google Assistant... It actually looked like it worked. Only to find out it has the same dumb Bluetooth error message right away.
This was one of my favorite watch features and now it doesn't work at all.
Terrible.
Best AnswerSame here, last week or so I can't get google assistant to work at all. I really feel like this requires some compensation on Fitbit's behalf... They pushed an update that rendered many devices non-functional for about a month now... I've stayed with the brand this long due to the excellent customer support I had in the past. I owned a blaze and upgraded to my current Sense on Fitbit's dime when those were deemed defective. Really hoping someone will step in and offer us some free premium or something. Elsewise, my next device is not Fitbit/Google and I'd encourage others to do the same, the thing that made fitbit standout was the support!
Anyone know why or when Google Assistant will be able to connect to Android phone again? Since the last update it hasn't worked. Fitbit told me about two weeks, it's been more than that and still won't connect
Best AnswerI've spent a bit of time trying to get this working in the last couple weeks, given the near-total radio silence from Fitbit on the matter. What seems to work for me on my Pixel 7a
This has worked for me several times in a row. It still won't stay connected for a long period of time - maybe a day if I'm lucky, and then I need to repeat the process. But so far I've had several days in a row where this seems to have fixed the issue.
