How to change Temperature - for Weather, Centigrade - Fahrenheit, Sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

If you set the temperature in the Fitbit App [profile photo => App settings => Units => temperature] and you are still not getting the degrees in Fahrenheit or Centigrade as you have defined it, it is because the Weather app has its own settings.

To fix the temperature degrees for Weather:

 In the Fitbit App click

  • Profile photo
  • Device photo
  • Gallery (or Apps)
  • Scroll to Weather
  • Settings
  • Temperature unit
  • Set to desired value

Then sync the watch.

For weather showing directly on the clock face there may or may not be a clock face setting to change.

If it is still a problem,

  • remove cities in the weather list of cities setting
  • and use current location
  • Ensure weather permissions are correct
  • and sync again.

Somehow my Sense changed itself back to °C. I went back in to change it
back to °F again and now my weather doesn’t work at all anymore. All the
settings appear correct and in gallery it shows the weather app is
installed. My watch keeps telling me to sync with the app to see weather
but that isn’t working at all.

Hi Guy,

I am having so much trouble with this weather thing. If I go into the app on my android phone, after clicking on photo and device, I cannot find "Gallery (or Apps)".

Help please, thank you.

While messing around with this I did find and changed the unit to Fahrenheit, I synced watch and it still won't change?

Thanks, yes I found I had to remove the cities before it would work at all.
I think there’s a bug in the software. If you happen to actually be located
in one of the cities in your list, the app just chokes.

Still not sure one, how the temp changed back to °C after I corrected it to
°F a few weeks ago, and second why the app stopped working completely when
I changed it back to °F a second time. I never touched the cities list, so
it seemed to work before when you were located in a city in you list.
Buggy, buggy, buggy!

Hi @Debra_A  - can you post a screenshot of what you see after clicking device photo. It should look like this.

In case you have an app glitch,

  • Logout of the Fitbit App,
  • go to your phone Settings
  • Apps
  • Fitbit App
  • clear the storage cache and force stop it.

Thanks Guy! I have been trying to figure out how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit for weeks. Mine changed overnight a month or so ago. I tried the most obvious route by checking the "units" tab in the app but it was set to Fahrenheit yet my watch still showed Celsius. I never would have thought to go to "Gallery" under my Sense device without your instructions! Thank you so very much!

Thank you so much! It worked.

My Sense watch does not have a Celsius/Fahrenheit toggle place. The app is set to Fahrenheit. I have no idea why it changed a few months ago.

Hi @FlyCoho - the place to change it is not on the watch it is in the Gallery tile in the Fitbit App, near the bottom. there you will find weather.

Thank you, Guy! Exactly what I needed.

Very strange that this cannot be set on the watch or directly in settings.
