Fitbit should be trasperent in providing ECG availability in other countries.
Even if this is related to each country regulations and approvals, customers should be aware and updated on:
1- Which countries will have the ECG available ?
2- What is the status of local authorities approval ?
3- Expected/etimated approvals completition date ?
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
That might be, but in general, and to the frustrations of many users. Fitbit doesn't seem to be open to releasing many of these types of updates.
As for expected release dates, this may be more about the regulating board of the country, not Fitbit.
Please be aware that this board is for obtaining help, from your fellow Fitbit users, for your Hardware issues.
We have a Feature Suggestion board for users thoughts addressed to the developers.
Best AnswerThank you for your reply, please note this is not a feature suggestion. It's a demand for transperancy rather than a request for Fitbit commitment. Me, link many other customers had this device and expected to have all functions available or will be available in the future.
My questions were clear and fair to be asked and we should have a proper response on them.
At least the current list of supported countries is shown on the Fitbit website:
Austria
Belgium
Czech Republic
France
Germany
Hong Kong
Ireland
Italy
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
United Kingdom
United States

Best Answer@HSS79 can you change this behavior if you untoggle the auto location option in the app settings of the Fitbit app?
Yes, for example Singapore: you must select time zone Hong Kong, then select Hong Kong or United States, BEFORE you open the app on the watch. This will also permit set up of Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant - these 3 apps are currently advertised in Singapore but NOT supported in Singapore.
