Update 10/7/2020: The ECG app should be available now in the countries where it is currently available.
The Fitbit ECG (electrocardiogram) app on Fitbit Sense has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as Conformité Européenne (CE) marking in the European Union. The ECG app will be available in October 2020 to customers in the US, certain European countries, and Hong Kong. Availability outside the U.S. is pending applicable regulatory clearances.
Check out this Fitbit blog post for more details on how on-wrist ECG technology can offer early identification for irregularities like atrial fibrillation. For more answers to frequently asked questions about what the ECG app does and how it works, see fitbit.com/ecg.

Mine works fine. I just have to take off the screen protector when I do it which is fine not like I am going to be using the app all the time.

Assessments and reports is not in my Discover section. What firmware are you running? My Sense says it's up to date.

Works well in the UK.
If the following is accurate then it's pretty impressive -
"Our proprietary algorithm has been tested in a clinical study. (98.7% sensitivity, 100% specificity)"
I would say the Specificity is more important than the sensitivity, as it's better to have false positives than false negatives with something like this. I'm quite impressed.

Where did you find it? I'm in the US also. The app is installed but when I click on it, it tells me to set it up on my phone in the app under the Discover tab, under assessments and reports. When I find the Discover tab on my app, my only choices are smartwatch apps and clock faces, compatible apps, and help. I don't have the option of selecting assessments and reports.

Could you possibly tell all of us poor Canadians on the forum when it will be available in Canada please?
Apparently it was previously on the link you posted as coming in October, but was removed & Fitbit support can't help.
Thank you

I first went into apps and updated the ecg app. then on my watch and pressed the ecg app and it directed me to set up. Either way it works a treat. Thanks to everyone here for all the informative posts!

What firmware is your device running? The instructions say that it has to be running firmware 5.0 but mine isn't that one but when I try to update the firmware, it says it's up to date. So frustrating.

The ECG app is now available for those selected countries...open your Fitbit app on phone, click your profile, under device, click Sense, click app. You should then see an install/update for ECG.
