1.Anybody encounter before taking out your surge and try shaking left and right or up and down it will count your steps. Does this happens to anybody? It should not count any steps. Anyway i'm wearing on my dominant hand.
Any advise how does the steps really count. If by using shaking method everyone could just use this method to cheat. There is no purpose of it.

Sorry but wrist trackers will do this. Sees your arm moving it will add steps

Thanks WendyB , i notice when i'm sitting down why does my surge also count steps? Not alot but afew steps capture alot it? Because of arm movement??

Nice to see you around @manuforlife! As @WendyB mentioned above wrist trackers some times counts extra steps. You might get a few extra steps from arm swings since your tracker will sense the movements of your hand. So, as a friendly tip I suggest to wear your Surge in your non dominant arm to minimise false arm "steps". You can also check the settings on your Fitbit App to be set in the correct "Handedness" option. ![]()
