Hi everyone, I cannot get my surge to sync fully. The challenges say it isn't synced. I have tried everything I can think of. Anyone got any ideas?

I have had my Surge for about 7 or 8 Months and it has sync' without too much problem with my iPhone 5s. It laid dormant for a few weeks and went flat, after the recharge it has only sync 'd once. I have tried all the troubleshooting options (several times) and am now left with the Fitbit logo and no sync. What else can I do?

@Ukdoug Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend performing a restart a couple more times. Then, follow the steps on this syncing master post to fix this issue. That should definitely help you out. If you keep experiencing issue after trying that; report the problem to customer support to get further assistance.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

My Surge sync'd fine for 3 months and then overnight battery life dropped from 7 days to 2 and syncing all but disappeared.  It syncs randomly every couple of days via wireless dongle, but bluetooth syncing seems completely dead.  Because I bought the Surge online and not via an authorised reseller, Fitbit are denying me the warranty cover.  That is their right because that is what their small print says, but, when companies like Apple are proud enough of their products to provide care whoever you buy from, it makes Fitbit look a bit Mickey Mouse.  Should have bought an Apple Watch.  Not much more expensive, but with customer service that is light years better.

Fitbit clearly have an issue with the Surge with battery life and syncing, but are hiding behind the limited warranty to deny proper cover.

Please ignore the stupid name.

I think I may have the answer:

1) Your fitbit device may need a software update which you can from your fit bit app on the phone or laptop.

2) The time and date may be set incorrectly on your smartphone/tab or computerlaptop. Once the date and time are set correctly then it should synch.

Please let me know how you get on?

Have you tried turning off your Fitbit Surge? I was having issues syncing my Surge and the battery is running down within a day. I figurine it is just like my phone.

I just turned my Surge off then back on. It starting to sync immediately. Best of luck.

Thanks but doesn't work.

It seems that Fitbit does not support devices long term (more than one year)

I've had the same issues. This thing is a piece of junk. They've offered me a 35% discount on the next Fitbit I purchase...as long as it's not one of their popular items. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing any more of their items. Screw them.
