Is there any way to connect my Fitbit Flex to the Google Fit app that just came out yesterday? I just downloaded Google Fit yesterday just so I can try it out and it said that it would connect with 3rd party apps but cannot find a way to connect the Fitbit to it.
Any help anyone can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
Cindy

Feedback left. Hopefully Mountain View reads it.

If Google would come along and develop a tracker that isn't also a watch, that might solve everyone's problems. I'd love to see all of my data in one place, without the jumping through hoops.

It's not Google's fault. It's also a missconception that Google Fit is just an app, it's also a complete health framework that endpoints (like trackers) connect into. So essentially it's Fitbit's fault.

Assuming you mean myfitnesspal for the "Under armour app", unfortunately not (I am using the free services so no idea for paid).
I have a Fitbit Charge HR, Strava, myfitnesspal and Google Fit. It looks like these apps will only export the data that they have created themselves; i.e. no second hand data is passed on, e.g. steps recorded by Fitbit will only be exported to the services Fitbit links to, myfitnesspal will not pass the steps on to Google Fit.

Yes would absolutely love this! Definitely thinking about switching to a more open fitness tracker with my wife if Fitbit doesn't start opening up their device to more apps.

Thing is fitbit is not about it's app, but the fitness tracking device. No good moving to a "more open app" if it does not support the device.

After 2 years of too many fitbit users asking for this, it is obvious that fitbit does not care what their clients want.
I'm sending my fitbit to amazon for amazon credits.

I'm thinking about switching to another tracking provider too. Which of them cares about users? What firm/band/app do you find to be better?
