Update 2/25/16 3:00pm
Update from MFP, looks like things are starting to return to normal!
"Although we have recently experienced delays with the sync between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal, things should be moving once again. While there may be some residual traffic, things should be getting back to normal shortly.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update this article if we see the issue resurface. Thanks for your patience"
Thanks to everyone that reported the issue. ![]()
Update 2/25/16 10:22am
Hey guys, a syncing issue with MFP was reported this morning. ![]()
MFP is aware of the problem and they're working on it. You can find their updates here.
"Members are experiencing delays with information transferring to and from their MyFitnessPal and Fitbit accounts. The team is working on the issue and we hope to have this resolved as soon as possible. Please do not reconnect your accounts at this time, as this may cause longer delays in the sync.
We will continue to update this article as more information becomes available. Please check back for further updates."
I'll continue to update this thread. Hang tight!
Morning, I having the same problem where MFP and my charge Hr won't sync, I've inlinked and re linked the accounts but didn't make a difference. Also the Fitbit calories burned are way out in the Fitbit. ? Can you help?
Best AnswerI guys , after my breakfast today , MYfitnesspal has stopped registering steps taken from my fit bit and my fitbit has stopped registering calories consumed from myfitnesspal i have disconnected and re connected through the MFP app a few times but it has not as of yet had any affect. any ideas?
I am having the same problem. Fitbit stopped logging my meals after lunch. And now MFP has also stopped logging my steps. I've done the reconnect/disconnect thing twice, and even re-selected Fitbit Tracker on the Steps option of MFP. It seems I am now manually computing.
If only Fitbit had a recipe and nutrition counter (besides calories), I would rather just use it instead of having to maintain 2 apps.
I am having the same problem as the previous three posters. My breakfast synced fine this morning (I am on Central European time - Berlin/Rome), then nothing. So far I have:
*unlinked/relinked via iPhone apps
*unlinked/relinked via web browsers
*uninstalled/reinstalled MFP app on iPhone
*attempted to "force a sync" by entering 2 mins walking in MFP (recommened on MFP support forums).
Glad to know that at least it's a consistent error, hopefully the fix will be in soon.
Yeah, I've been facing this issue. When I disconnect the accounts and then reauthorize / reconnect it returns to the number of steps it's frozen at - 136 - am currently over 4000 for the day and it's a bit frustrating.
Best AnswerSo there's a whole bunch of us facing the same error. Either fitbit screwed up something or mfp did this morning probably; so I'm going to suggest waiting and seeing if it just goes back to normal when they kick their IT guy out of bed to fix all the .net
Best AnswerI'm experiencing a similar issue here.
I recieved a replacement Charge HR yesterday to replace a defective one, and got around to setting it up this morning. However, after setting it up I have zero syncing between the two apps. My Charge HR is syncing to the Fitbit app and all of my stats are updated as they should be. On the MFP side of things, it just shows 123 steps for the day (actual is 8000+), which was the total I had on the previous Charge HR before I switched to the new one this morning.
I've been using Fitbit/MyFitnessPal syncing flawlessly for 8+ months and this is the first time I've had any syncing issues.
Anyway, I've tried all the typical tricks found here and elsewhere, with no luck. Any help getting this resolved quickly would be much appreciated.
Nothing to do with your new device, just a coincidence that this error started occuring for people this morning. This is most likely an MFP/Fitbit server side bug and we've just got to wait it out for a fix I guess!
