Hi everyone - I linked my accounts on Wednesday and my first two rides recorded in Strava synced without any issues (Wedneday evening, Thursday morning Australian Eastern Standard Time). I've logged two more rides since then (Thursday evening and Friday monring, AEST) and neither of them have synced to my Fitbit account - I can't see them on the web dashboard or on my iPhone app. Both of them are showing fine in Strava.
I thought the accounts may have been disconnected so I checked and they show as being connected in both web dashboards.
Has there been any issue with the sync service? If not do you know of a way to get it working again short of disconnecting and reconnecting the accounts?

+1, initially setup, no sync, tried strava => revoke app access, then reconnect on strava.fitbit.com, no sync as of yet.

So this is the response that I received from FitBit support:
Hello Road,
We're sorry to hear that you continue unable to sync with Strava app.
Since your Fitbit data is syncing correctly, we recommend contacting Strava app to assist you with this. You can contact them by going to https://www.strava.com/mobile .
Also we would like to share our list Fitbit compatibles apps: http://www.fitbit.com/apps
Let us know if you have any Fitbit related questions and we'll be happy to help.
Sincerely,
Elder G and the Fitbit Team
Can you believe it?!?
My response was:
Since this issue is affecting many users of a feature that your site claims to support, shouldn't you contact strava about this issue?
I'm just baffled. I'll continue to update everyone, if I get a response from support. But with this kind of attitude, I don't hold out much hope.

@RoadKill Sorry for the miscommunication on this. Per my earlier post, this integration is not currently operating as intended, and our team is working on a solution. We'll keep you updated as the situation develops, and provide your feedback to the team to make sure their responses reflect the accurate status.

Just FYI...now FitBit is not syncing to Strava. So just to clarify: Both FitBit and Strava are not syncing. (Previously, FitBit would send activities to Strava, but Strava activities would not be sent to Fitbit).

been trying the app deletion then set-up again using strava.fitbit.com...... trying every other day. Same result: 502 Bad Gateway message and no syncing even though the authorised app show up on both sides.
Come on Fitbit, this cant be that hard as it works for some users and not others so Root Causing this cant be too hard! You had it working through a Beta test that didnt seem to be this probematic!!

The actual issue of Strava not moving to Fitbit is very much happening to me. I was just indicating that Fitbit to Strava was working fine and has not stopped working for me as of yet. I have not gotten your bad gateway stuff the one time I tried to reconnect the services (Yesterday).

An update on this issue: We have improved the way that authorization is handled between Fitbit and Strava, which should increase performance and security. As a result, all users will need to disconnect and then reconnect their accounts.
To do this, check the "Applications" section of your fitbit.com Dashboard Settings, and revoke access to Strava. Then proceed through the setup process at http://strava.fitbit.com/ once more to reconnect.
If this doesn't get things working properly at this point, please post in this thread to let me know so that I can help.

I have revoked access on both fitbit.com and strava.com, then went through the strava.fitbit.com flow again. Approximately how long / often does it take to sync or for activities to show up? Will it show up only new activities or historical activities as well saved in strava? Sorry for the questions but I got my band when this problem was occurring so I've never had it sync before (and it was the primary reason I got the Fitbit, because of the strava syncing).

Hi Matthew,
I've followed these steps as well and also cannot see my Strava activities on my fitbit dashboard. How long does it usually take for this to go through and show up?
Thanks,
Alex

I'm checking on the specifics of this, but it may only function for new activities - right now I don't expect that you'll see previous days retroactively appear. I'll see if there's anything we can do to bring in the past week or so.
If those of you who have now reconnected your accounts can see if new activities sync over, that would be a good test.

Greetings,
Thank you Matthew for your continued support.
My FitBit activity (Run) has synced to Strava, but my Strava activity (cycling) has not synced to FitBit.
