Fitbit Update 11/03/15 02:13 PM: Everyone -- The Strava and Fitbit integration issues have been resolved. I am closing this thread from further discussion for organizational purposes.

If you're still experiencing issues, I recommend revoking access to the integration and reconnecting by following the steps outlined here.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to report this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved in a timely manner! Now it's time to get out and ride! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015 3:54 PM:If you're continuing to experience syncing issues between Fitbit and Strava, please check out Strava's response and follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Have you tried reconnecting your accounts, syncing your Fitbit tracker, and waiting an hour?
  2. Have you confirmed that you are not recording a duplicate exercise in the Strava app and Fitbit app/device simultaneously?
  3. Have you confirmed that you are recording a GPS exercise with your Fitbit? (Only exercises with GPS on Fitbit will be sent to Strava).
  4. Have you confirmed that you recorded a new exercise after connecting you accounts? (Previous exercises won’t be uploaded. You can use the TCX export from Fitbit to upload older exercises manually).

If you've made sure of all of the above and your activities are still not syncing between Fitbit and Strava, please fill out this form to send your Strava athlete ID to us so Fitbit can continue to investigate.

Fitbit Update 10/19/2015 3:18 PM: I've been in contact with our API Team and they are still looking into the issues everyone here has reported! I appreciate all the feedback!

I apologize for the delay in getting this issue resolved but can confirm that we are actively working on getting everyone back on track! Thank you for your continued patience! Robot Happy

Fitbit Update 10/16/2015 3:59 PM: Please check out what syncs between Fitbit and Strava and some troubleshooting tips that should help get you back on track:

What is synced to Strava from Fitbit:

  • Exercises with GPS data recorded with Fitbit will be sent to Strava (Heart rate data will be included when it's available).
  • Exercises recorded with Fitbit's app or devices that do not include GPS data are NOT currently sent to Strava

What is synced to Fitbit from Strava:

    • Exercises recorded in Strava will be synced to Fitbit as manually logged activities, but will NOT include GPS or heart rate data from Strava

If you are still unable to sync your data between Fitbit and Strava or vice versa, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Log in to your Fitbit dashboard
  2. Click the gear icon on the top right corner
  3. Click "Settings"
  4. Click "Applications" on the left side
  5. Click "Revoke Access" under the "Fitbit + Strava" app
  6. Go to https://strava.fitbit.com/ and click "Connect" and follow the rest of the prompts to finish reconnecting your Fitbit and Strava accounts

Fitbit Update 10/16/2015: Hey all, we're continuing to monitor this issue! It doesn't seem as it is resolved for all users yet, some have reported that after a delay it work but it shouldn't take forever. Rest assured that the API team is still working on it! You can expect an update from me early next week, hopefully with some good news.

Fitbit Update 10/14/2015: Hey everyone -- our team has been looking into the issue with syncing your Strava data over to Fitbit. To pass along information to the engineers working on this issue, are you still experiencing issues with syncing and connecting Strava to your Fitbit account? If so, please try to unlink Strava with your Fitbit and relink it again before replying. Looking forward to your responses! Thank you!

Fitbit Update 10/06/2015: We've received reports that users are unable to set up or sync between their Fitbit and Strava accounts. I have forwarded your information to our Product Specialist Team who is currently looking into this issue. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the issue ASAP.

Not working for me either. Seems to be borked in both directions... nothing from strava in fitbit, and nothing from fitbit in strava.

Having a similar issue, Strava is not pushing rides to Fitbit.  It's been working fine for months, but stopped last week.

I'm having the same issue and glad to see a fix should be coming soon.  Do you have a timeframe for when it should be complete?

Best Answer

Same here, no sync since Monday.

Would have been good of Fitbit to email the users who have connected with Strava, letting us know what's going on. Or not as may be.

They certainly manage to send other emails.

Since the 1st October my Fitbit account has not received any exercise information performed within Strava.

I had read an issue earlier this year where we needed to disconnect from the link and then re-establish, this has been done but still no data being received.

Can you please clarify if their is a problem with the link between the two products.

Regards

Hi all,

I've had a Flex from about Feb last year and recently upgraded to the Charge, I use Strava when I ride my bike and all the integration was working until Wednesday evenig, I biked and this has not pulled through into FitBit?

I have confirmed the access to strava etc.

Any idea?

Thanks

I hadn't even looked in months but for what it's worth, mine stopped syncing on October 2nd. I've had 9 strava activities since then and none have come over.  The new has worn off for me so I don't really care if it syncs or not now.  It didn't seem to add much value.

See this issue, which Erick addressed.  Here is a link to those reports, and his response.  Mine has been broken since the 4th also.

@steelbr1@psykes001@Caroline_EatonStrava syncing may be delayed for a short period of time. Our team is aware of the issue. Syncing to and from Strava should return to normal momentarily.

Mine hasn't synced since last Sunday 10/4, been on 2 runs and 1 mountain bike ride since then.  I tried relinking accounts too.

Moderator - you posted on 10/7 that it should be fixed soon.  What does that mean? That was 3 days ago?

Everyone -- Sorry for the inconvenience but our engineers are currently looking into the issue. It was previously thought to be an issue that would be a quick fix but as we continue to receive more reports, our team is taking an in-depth look to get this resolved ASAP.

Again, thank you for your patience! I will update you all when I hear more news from our engineers and the Strava team!

I noticed starting last week that my fitbit app was not sucessuflly pulling my workouts from Strava. Before it worked and it was great so I'm not sure what changed. I depend on these as it allows me to circumvate Strava's need for a premium account to see heart rate graphs for the workout.

I have Strava and FitBit connected to sync my cycling data.  The last activity that synchronized occurred on 9/23, but I have ridden several time since then and none of my rides have synced.

My tracking routine is slightly complicated (but it has worked in the past):

  1. I track my ride in the Wahoo Fitness app (so I can display speed/distance/cadence data on my RFLKT).
  2. I manually export my ride data to Strava.
  3. I sync my Charge HR with my FitBit app to make sure the heartrate data is captured.
  4. Strava automatically syncs the ride data to FitBit.
  5. FitBit correlates the ride data with the heartrate data on my dashboard.

I am tracking my rides on a Nexus 5 running Android 5.1.1.

Two days ago, I disconnected Strava and FitBit and reconnected them.  I rode again today using the same method for recording my data, but so far no new activities have shown up on my dashboard.  I realize synchronization isn't instantaneous, but I synchronized my tracking data to Strava nearly an hour ago.
