Got notification that Message+ was being discontinued (Verizon) had to choose new text service. Chose Google message and now I no longer receive any alerts of a text on my fibit. All other notifications are coming through fine (FB messenger, Snapchat, Instagram, phonecalls, etc). I went to the dashboard and set it as my default message app in notifications. Any help is appreciated...this is driving me crazy!

Ok I think I figured it out.
Go to your Fitbit app, bottom left corner hit the TODAY button. Then in top left corner hit the button that displays the battery life of your Fitbit. This will take you to your device. Tap on the device, mine is Versa 4, then scroll down to NOTIFICATIONS, then choose text messages. The blue bubble for messages should be checked.
After I did all of this I restarted my phone and now I am receiving text messages on my Fitbit. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi @jysquared same here this morning and I've gone over all the settings on my Android phone and Fitbit app. No texts coming to my Inspire 3. I'm sure we'll get an answer for this as more people will be having the same issue.

@jysquared I tried that too and it didn't work. We have until Nov 7, 2024 before it's completely gone. I just don't want to have to switch back and then find out the problem still exists. Earlier today I did report this to a Fitbit Moderator, so maybe they will stop by to address this with us.

@Joandonny that was brilliant! I had gone over all my settings several times and decided it wasn't meant to be until you posted the solution. Thank you!
@jysquaredAndroid, Verizon - sometimes you do have to work on it a bit. Did @Joandonny 's step by step directions lead you to anything different? I have the Samsung Galaxy 24+ and the latest Fitbit app for my Inspire 3.

I had also done this but it did not work. We finally turned on the Always Vibrate setting so it would go off even in Do Not Disturb and now it works for me. Maybe that will help others that had same issue
