Spotify on Versa 4?

I think I speak for all of us when I say that the versa 4 needs to be able to use Spotify. All of the previous versa watches are able to use the Spotify app on the watch. So why not the versa 4? I say that we don't need the watch to be able to play the music just to be able to control the music.

Kinda strange. How many products do you come across where the latest iteration is more expensive and less functional than the one before it?

we’ve paid more for less.

I get what you mean I was shocked when I found out about the limited features

Does this mean that it isn't possible to add a 3rd party app system to the versa 4 or does it mean that if u do make a change about third party apps they will only be installed on newer versions

@CillGamer360- the Versa 4 and Sense 2 models do not support 3rd party apps and developers don't have an SDK to create new clock faces either.

As mentioned if you want features available already on the older watches get one of those, in the shops or elsewhere online.

This is absolutely insane that you’ve decided to stop supporting your most popular app in the store, and the most popular music streaming service in the world. Immediately returned my brand new Versa 4. What a shame. I used to love Fitbit, and it still has many advantages over Apple Watch. But this was the final straw. No more 3rd party apps? Another disgusting display of an arrogant tech company ignoring what your customers are asking for, and destroying a great product in favor of a broader agenda. If this is an indication of the future of Fitbit, my guess is there won’t be one. Literally stepping backwards. Returned my Fitbit, will be moving to Apple Watch.

Funny. But true! 🤣

”New Versa 4. Less for more”. Now there’s a billboard in the making?

I just bought my Versa 4 thinking I could download Spotify. Relieved to hear that the more expressive Sense 2 can't give you access, because I was thinking I should have gone with the more expensive watch.  I don't necessarily want to listen on my watch, but because I move around the room as I teach I would like to control the music from my watch.  However being able to listen on the watch would be a great bonus.

Hi @Renredjo - with a Versa 3 it is possible to control any phone music from the watch with the built-in Music Controls. They are still available in the shops and elsewhere online and also have features not found on the Versa 4.

If you want to change your mind Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds
