11/29 Update: This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in How do I update my Fitbit device? If you choose to post about your issue, provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist you.

We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.86 for Versa 4 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!

We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

I’m so fed up I want to return it

my watch face has been frozen since I did the update. So, the time is correct only two times a day. It seems the other portions are working OK. Do you have any suggestions on fixing the watch face time?

The only thing I can suggest is to try and sync it with another device like an iPad rather than your phone.

Mine was like that initially which let me to contact Customer Services they are now sending me a new watch for free

Good luck

Sam problem looking for a fix

I got it fixed. Called customer service, they had me press the button on the side of the Fitbit until the screen went black. It worked fine when it came back on.

I updated my Fitbit versa 4 just now and now my watch face says it’s Friday April 26 at 8:38pm and none of my information from all day is there but when I scroll through it’s on the next screen. How do I fix it? And syncing with the app doesn’t help,

after the update my fitbit has stopped counting calories and movement. only says the same number of calories every hour and says that I haven't moved for like 6 hours

I can relate to this. My stats don’t change unless I manually sync. Utterly fed up with this. The app is next to useless now

Push the button on the side until the screen goes dark. Then turn back on. This worked for me.

Watch updated a few days ago without a prompt!  First I knew was when the exercise designations all changed.  Now just odd symbols instead of a written description.  A retrograde step.  The battery life has also seriously deteriorated.  Something is amiss!

Since I updated I don't get my sleep score.  I get my sleep stages but no score.  This didn't happen in the old version.  What is the problem??

Don’t do it, my versa 4 is not working properly now and nothing has been able to fix it.,support was totally unhelpful too

So I updated and now the time and date are wrong. Other things may be off but haven't had a chance to check everything out. How do I get the time and date corrected? A watch should tell accurate time. It thinks it is May and the time is also off all around. How do I change the time and date?  Every time there's a update things get worse. UPDATE: I reset the watch and now the ay and date are right but the time is slow by 8 mins. Weird.

Definitely keep at Support until someone gets back to you!!! I've finally received my replacement watch after a month of issues, I sent SO many emails. Just kept forwarding the same thing so the whole chain was included. On average, it took at least 3 forwards before someone would reply, over 3 to 4 days. I'm happy to say, I set up the new Versa 4 last night and the software update went through smoothly!!!!

But why should I have to forget all my other Bluetooth pairings for this watch to work? This does not support my life. I have spent HOURS trying to get my watch and phone to communicate again and it has all been for nothing.

No suggestions but this is also happening to me and I'm also losing my mind. I'm so upset.

Go onto fitbit.com. There's a support section. Tell them. I got a response but so far no action.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to our new members.

@ColdOne As @Gra25 mentioned, shutting down your watch will only turn it off to prevent you from tracking data, but it won't delete any activity data. If you need more help, let me encourage you to visit our Help Site which provides more info about your Versa 4 features, as well as troubleshooting tips.

@CorShaTa@Augermann and @Todaypeg Thanks for keeping me posted. While I'm glad you sorted this out, I understand the frustration this caused. Our team continues working on our devices and feedback like yours helps us to evaluate, and improve their performance.

@Boggj9205 @lawgirl23 @Teresa2107 @gensrok @Kc4braves I'm sorry for the difficulties experienced with your Versa 4, and thanks for every step that you've tried so far. I understand you've tried working on this matter, but could you confirm if you tried the steps described here? This is just to make sure the requirements and suggested troubleshooting have been exhausted. If the issue is just with the time not updating, I'd also recommend changing the clock face as well as changing the time on your device.

@Sirbux Thanks for sharing these details and I'd like to clarify that you should see a button asking you to do an update as long as there is one available. On the other hand, the Fitbit app can automatically update depending on your phone settings. That being said, could you confirm if the Exercise app is working well?

In regards to your other inquiry, as you may know, there are different factors that impact the battery life. This includes: tracking SpO2 or GPS data, using an animated clock face or having the Always-On display enabled. If you haven't done so, let me recommend following the tips described here and monitoring your watch's behavior afterward.

@GwendyMc@Dre33@fb.KayK.679 and @Lizzo25 Thanks for joining this thread and letting me know about your Versa 4. Because you have a case created with our Support team, I'd like to recommend that you get back in touch with them so they can look into this and provide you with more assistance. Please make sure to keep an open communication with them.
