New Fitbit Versa 2 won't charge?

Just as the title.  When I first got it I plugged it in and the screen lit up,  I went to gete my phone to sync it with the app and it came up saying it couldn't sync so I went to check on my Fitbit and the screen was blank, I thought that wasn't right so I went and pushed the side button and still no screen.  Does this mean it needs to completely charge in order for me to see the screen?  I don't think this is how it's meant to be?

Yes I did that but all sorted now.  I just needed to let it sit for awhile on charge.  I just didn't think it seemed right for the screen to not fully work while on charge for the first time but must be how it is made.

Thanks.

Hi @Hayleymayy , maybe a stupid question: did you setup your Versa 2 in the Fitbit app? What I mean to say is this:

1. Put your Versa 2 in the charger and connect it to your PC.

2. Go to the Fitbit app on your phone and login.

3. Choose within the Fitbit app, add a new device and choose the Versa 2.
