Didn't reset steps

My Zip has worked great for quite a while.  However, this morning I noticed it didn't reset at midnight.  It reset the mileage, but carried the step count over.  I have replaced the battery.  Do I just hope that at midnight tonight it will clear?  It really messed things up for my Workweek challenge as it makes it look like I did a ridiculous amount of steps this morning, so I had to delete myself from it.

Mine didn't reset last night either.   Just took the steps from yesterday and added them in for today.

Thanks for stopping by @Milissas and @Snakes88! This sounds odd. I think this will be a one time issue. Smiley Wink To ensure that your tracker is working correctly, please restart it.

Keep me posted! 🙂

I changed out the battery and it seems to be working fine now. Don't know what caused it!

Awesome tip @ShaiKingTroy! Thanks for the reply @Snakes88! As suggested by @ShaiKingTroy restarting your tracker my solve this.

Also, please check that the metal spring inside the Zip's battery compartment. Sometimes your tracker will have battery issues when this is bent. Here is a picture of how it should look like:zip.png

Keep me posted! 😉

Hello,

i have restarded my Zip, replaced the battery, restarted it as a new device, everything I could find on the web about a Zip not reseting at midnight and nothing has worked.  I was on a plane flying from the west coast to the east coast and had my phone on airplane mode during the trip.  We landed at 12:50am on Monday the 24th and my Zip updated to the correct time zone, time, and reset my water intake, active minutes, and calorie intake, but for some reason it kept the last step count, mileage count, and calories burnt count updating the app on my phone (which did reset properly at first showing all zeros) but once it synced both my Zip and the app on my phone are now starting from the last count I had before going into airplane mode.  It even updated my badges and has given the badges for today April 24th and saved everything from yesterday properly too.

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community @Jason_975! I think that the timezone change may have caused all this. Please double check that your Zip is using your current timezone. Regarding the extra steps, you can try to negate this steps; however, keep in mind that sometimes this fix doesn't work with timezone issues.

Also, if you are traveling again with your Zip here is a help article with tips about traveling with your Fitbit.

Keep me posted with the outcome! 😉

I also had the same problem, my battery was running low so I changed the battery when I got up this morning  and the fitbit took the number for the previous day, I changed the battery but still can't get my fitbit to reset.
