When I got up this morning, I already had 4 miles on my Zip. It wasn't even on my arm. I had it on the table next to my bed. It is not resetting at midnight. Very frustrating. I took out the battery to reset it, but no change. What else can I do?

Welcome to the forums!
Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.
You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

A warm welcome to the Fitbit family @AngRa! It's great to see you participating in our Community. Thanks for jumping in @WendyB.
I think that's a great explanation! I agree with our good friend @WendyB. Keep an eye on your Zip behavior and let us know if you have better results in the future.
We'll be around.

Mine has done this twice including today. It has nothing to do with vibration. It doesn’t reset at midnight so the number of steps from the prior days rolls into the next day.
Last time it did this it somehow corrected itself during the day and showed the correct amount. Today it has not reset. Frustrating. This is a bug not user error.
You’ll see the same issue in other Fitbit forums. The Blaze for example. Can we get a solution please??
