Just got a new zip yesterday put the battery in and started using it. At midnight it didn't reset so I tried taking the battery out several times and that didn't work. Called customer service and was told there is no way to factory reset so leave on counter all day and see if it resets tonight. Not happy!

Welcome to the Community @BarbaraZip! Thanks for sharing your experience with Fitbit Zip. At the moment is not possible to factory reset your Zip tracker.
The best to do at the moment is to follow Support's advice and see if it resets tonight. I'm really sorry for this inconvenience, and I hope this solves tonight. Please keep me updated with the outcome so I can be of more help.
Catch you later! 😉

I’ve had mine for years and last night the steps didn’t reset but the miles did.

Nice to see you here @Jlk0879! This sounds odd.
Please try restarting your tracker as suggested before. And, can you please attach an screenshot of the incorrect data on your Dashboard so I can investigate further.
Keep me posted! 🙂
