Zip won't sync with my new Samsung S10. I had it synced with LG5, but that took me asking too. Any help appreciated

@CherieT Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear that your Zip tracker isn't syncing with your phone. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. You can find additional suggestions here.
Let me know how it goes.

I am having the same problem. Sure hope someone figures this out! I tried allowing ALL the permissions for Fitbit Tracker and that didn't help either. This was the first sync I put on my new S10. Looking for a solution...:)

Just tried my sync from fitbit tracker to S10. It is working fine! YAY!
I did go to my app permissions and gave they all a 'go'...now I'm going to try to see if there is just a few permissions needed.

I'm having the same problem. S10. Turn all app permissions on for the Fitbit app, including "Install unknown Apps" (which creeped me out). Nada. Still won't sync. My wife's S10E has a similar problem, but not quite. Error message says something about "too many devices".

OK, so I just posted about 20 minutes ago, but my lovely wife figured out the fix: Remove the battery from the Zip, WAIT about 30 seconds, reinstall the battery (preferably a fresh one). Bingo! It synced! Both S10 and S10E.

The Zip, One, and all of the basic trackers do not work with Android 9.
See this months-long thousands-of-messages thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Android-9-0-Pie-not-able-to-sync/td-p/2889550 where this is discussed. There is nothing from Fitbit other than repeated claims that they're working on it, but no actual evidence that they are.
As noted, popping out the battery on the Zip or rebooting the One will make it sync once, but that's not an ongoing fix. I suspect that Fitbit has some fix in mind for newer, fancier, more expensive models but isn't even trying for the Zip.
Do not waste your time trying the "suggestions" there. None of them will work. This is a software problem Fitbit needs to correct.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S10. This is an ongoing problem and by reading the forum here, it seems as if nothing has changed. My Zip won't sync unless you take the battery out and replace it. This solution only works until you want to sync it again. It's frustrating and I hope you come up with a solution soon. Also, the Firmware won't update at all. Do you have any suggestions?

I guess Fitbit isn't caring about this issue or updating when new devices are deployed. Oh well.

I am having the same problem.
I called Fitbit support and went on Youtube.
Nothing works except taking out the battery and putting it back in.
VERY DISSAPPOINTING.

I call Fitbit support and watched a couple of Youtube videos.
The only way it syncs is by taking the battery out and putting it back in.
Very disappointing.

I have a Samsung galaxy A8 that I have not been able to sync for almost 2 weeks, since doing a phone software update (common theme on the forum). They (Fitbit) obviously have a problem that they will not admit to, and solving it for zip owners does not seem to be part of their plan.
