Sense 2 red cross on the screen

Why has sense 2 gone into a reboot loop that it can't get out of then eventually fails with the dreaded red cross? I had one exchanged under warranty and 9 days in and the second one did the same thing.. Can anyone explain?   Moderator edit: updated ...
