Account button missing on iOS app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Update: 12/13/2017Hi Everyone, this issue was resolved in iOS app version 2.44, please update your app and you should see the account button. If you still have this issue, please let me know. Thanks for your reports and patience.

Hi Everyone - Our team is aware that the iOS account icon in the top upper left hand on the app is not visible to some, we hope to have a fix shortly.

In the meantime you can try the workaround mentioned in @LZee's post, tap above the share icon and you should be able to access your account.

Thanks for your reports and patience.

Hi, I also have iPhone 8 Plus and the account icon is showing and visible, it is strange that on a same device it is not? Also those notifications where the account icon used to be can’t be deleted, I think there is about 50 of them and no way to delete? Before making changes to an app, Fitbit should ensure that it works...just a thought.

Thanks so much! I was trying to connect a replacement Blaze and couldn't even get started until I saw your message to tap where the icon should be.

I can't believe that you would not have caught this bug.  Pretty sloppy.  This has wasted an hour of my time.  First reinstalling app, deleting my two fitbits, just really a pain.  Then trying to find it on help, then holding for over 20 minutes.  Wow.

I cannot see an account icon on my Macbook Pro, which is where I have things set up.  It isn;t invisible, it just isn't there.  I can see my profile.  But I'm trying to resolve battery life (new Charge HR not holding a charge for more than a day), and the help article I have found talks about this account icon which I do not see anywhere:User-added image

Updated to 2.44 and restarted my phone but still no account button. This is getting to be so frustrating.

Hello 🙂 Well... the account button is there, but not at the top right-hand corner anymore. Look on the bottom right hand corner,

With the most recent update (w/b 15/10/2018) the notifications icon is now where my account icon was. It is really annoying as I don’s use notifcations and use the account icon all of the time.

Hello @SJA69, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Please note that if you're not able to see the Account button on the bottom of your screen it's because the new Community button was added to this menu, prompting the change of the Account button to the top right corner of the screen. You will still be able to access your Account from here.

Thanks again for your participation, if there's anything else you might want to add or anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Thank you for this reply.

I do have the account button on my dashboard but it is in the top right which is not as convenient. I am unsure as to what button you are referring to as the community button though. I have the following on the bottom of my dashboard:

Dashboard
Challenges
Guidance
Friends
Notifications

Hello @SJA69, I hope you're doing well, thanks for replying. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have come back and voiced your concern about this feature. Please note that in some countries the Community tab replaces the Friends tab in the Menu. In either case the Account button has been moved to the top right corner of the screen.

If you'd like this feature to be revised, please feel free to add your insight and feedback as a suggested idea, where members of the Community can vote and comment on it. This is the best way to make your voice heard.

I hope this helps, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I just downloaded the app for my new Fitbit Inspire and don’t see the account icon or the “+” to add a silent alarm. Please help.

@Stephleopard you may have the new app design that's currently being rolled out.

If you have tabs at the bottom for "discover", "today" and "community" then select today, then select your profile image at the top left of the screen. This takes you into the account section of the app. If you select your device from that screen you should see the option for the alarms.

There is a help file for the new design but, unfortunately, it doesn't cover alarms: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2435

Another question, does the Fitbit Inspire broadcast HR via ANT+ or Bluetooth? Like to link with a Peloton bike for real-time HR during a workout?

I can't help with that one. I don't think it does but I hope someone else will post who is sure to confirm.
