Purchased the Alta Hr today. Everything syncs except text messaging but it vibrates with a phone call. I've tried disconnecting Bluetooth, made sure my iOS is up to date, rebooted the device and nothing works. Help please.

Hi everyone! I FINALLY got my Ulta HR to receive text notification from my iPhone 7. I tried all of the suggested trouble shooting steps and still was not receiving notifications until I received a general email from Fitbit telling me to ‘Stay Connected with Smart Features.’ I read it and it was all the same steps that have been mentioned here except under settings < notifications < messages...I did not have ‘show in history’ turned on. Once I turned that on and made sure all other settings were as suggested, it finally works! Hope this helps someone else as well!!

Now I’m not getting my calendar notifications. The one day I was able to, one notification wouldn’t stop appearing even though I had unlocked my phone to clear it! And getting text message notifications are still spotty. I get about 50% of them.

I appreciate you've shared with me your experience. Tell me, when was the last time you sync your tracker? Have you update the app and the OS on your phone recently? Have you restarted your tracker? If so, please let me know. Additionally, I would like to suggest you to make sure the following is enabled in Settings > Notifications > Fitbit:

Well, that was short lived! My Alta HR stopped receiving texts messages again without any settings being changed. I’ve been home all day with my phone close by, it was working as of yesterday morning. I haven’t tried running through all the rebooting and reconnecting steps again as it’s such a hassle. May try it again eventually..or maybe I’ll just save up for an Apple Watch. Such a disappointment!!

Well that’s not good. My husband wanted me to get an Apple Watch, he has one, but I didn’t want to invest so much money. And I line the slimline look of the Fitbit. I hope you can get to act right and stay right. Mine has been good. So far.

My turn. My daughter’s Fitbit Alta HR arrived today. I have gone through all four pages of this thread and tried every suggestion, checked every setting, and her HR is not showing calls or texts on her Alta HR. Yes, Show History is on and Zoom is off. Yes, her iPhone and Fitbit have the most recent software. Yes, we have paired and unpaired and forgotten device and reset the Fitbit at the charger and gone through set up a couple times. Nothing. I bought her this Fitbit because I accidentally set my extra Fitbit Alta (not HR) on my account before I gave it to her and she was receiving MY text messages. Since I could not reset that device to factory, I bought her a new one, intending to set it up correctly this time. But that whole notifications thing is not working. Has any solution been found yet? Barring that, does anyone know why this glitch has occurred? If I cannot get this resolved, I will be returning this device even though we had to wait longer than we should have to even get the blasted thing.

@Ccumbo, I'm very sorry to hear your tracker is not receiving Notifications again. At this moment as you have a case created with our Support Team, I would like to suggest you to reply to them as they will not work with you and provide you a proper resolution.

I bought the Alta HR yesterday and I wasn’t receiving text or phone messages despite doing everything everyone suggested. I randomly tried one last thing and it worked. I would suggest to do everything from the beginning that everyone has suggested as far as “forgetting this device” and pairing. Next force quit the Fitbit app (iPhone) by double clicking the home button quickly and swiping up on the Fitbit app to close it. Next restart your phone. Open the Fitbit app, click on your Alta HR device, scroll down and click Sync Now. After I did this I now receive phone calls and text messages. For some reason syncing any other way didn’t work. I hope this was a one time thing to get it working and it continues to work. I hope this helps and it works for you all too.

I bought my alta HR fitbit today and literally tried EVERYTHING everyone has said and still nothing is working. I cant even get call notifications. Super annoying because I literally just bought it.
