I have tried restarting Fitbit by holding down button whilst charging for 12 seconds but this has not fixed the problem. It has been uncharged for a few days and now it is charged the date and time are a week ago and it can't be found by the app so cannot sync.

@Janerfb  Have you tried turning bluetooth off, then rebooting your phone, and then turning bluetooth back on?

Please ensure that no other device, like Ipad, also with bluetooth on nearby, as this would confuse the fitbit watch to sync....
