One of the many reasons why I’ve abandoned my Charge3, and Fitbit in general. The inability to view it under any kind of bright light, even after having an in warranty replacement was the final straw. I’ve now wiped all my personal data from the device and boxed it up in the hope I can sell it to recoup at least some of my money. Fitbit app deleted from my phone as I’ll never buy another product from them.

It isn’t the first time I’ve had a problem like this either.  It really annoys me that Fitbit don’t monitor this forum.  These problems come up again and again but nothing is done

Try putting your Fitbit device on charge and reset it by holding down the power for 8 seconds then another  8 seconds shortly after that. Doing this fixed that for me so I thought I would share. Also try turning off and on Bluetooth. 👍

Thankyou.  Seems to have sorted itself out now but will beat in mind for future glitches....

Hi everyone. I'm glad to see you here in the forums and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for the time taken to troubleshoot your Fitbit devices. I understand the importance of keeping your data saved in the Fitbit app and I'm sorry that you're having this experience. Our team has been informed about the syncing issues experienced after updating to iOS 13.4.1 and above. They're currently working to bring a solution to all our affected users. In the meantime, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Check if the Fitbit app is updated.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth settings from any device that you have nearby.
  3. Go to the Bluetooth settings in the Fitbit app, tap on the icon next to their Fitbit device and tap on Forget this device.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  5. A Bluetooth pair authorization should appear, tap pair. This will re-establish the Bluetooth connection between your Fitbit device and the Fitbit app.

@Jack_d and @Rayjanie, I'm glad that your Fitbit devices are now syncing and thanks for sharing the steps that worked for you.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

Im having the same issue, Inspire HR, not even 2 weeks old.

Everything was going great until today. Charged it up, then put it back on. Went to bike into work, and noticed that all my excersizes had been replaced with RUN or PILATES. Thought that was super weird. So I biked to work anyway and tried syncing. Data went to the App no problem, but it says Sync failed. My excersize shortcuts are still messed up.

So I tried the location thing, no luck. 😕

It’s 2022 and I’m still having this same issue.  I had it on my iPhone 11 and just upgraded to iPhone 13 and same thing.  Unless there is a fix, I think I’m going to try the Apple Watch.
