I can log in with a password on the Fitbit website. I couldn't log in on the iPhone though.

This is happening to me several times a day - and I haven't even updated iOS? Please fix it, as it's driving me nuts!

My app keeps logging out and my Bluetooth won’t connect. I have to shut my watch down and start it up again daily to get it to sync.

I have posted so many times, yet no solution. Fitbit even deleted my posts for violating their rules. My Charge 2 started having sync problems on 9/4. After talking to their support and trying all their little tricks, nothing worked. Then the app log out problems started. App logged back in. Then the tracker had an update. The update would not load so I followed their solutions. The final solution was to un-pair and re-pair the Charge 2. Now the Charge 2 will not re-pair. They sent me a new Charge 2, not the Gunmetal I paid extra for, just the standard black and silver. This one will not pair. Basically I have a $200 wrist band. All confidence is lost in Fitbit. Say goodbye to a family that purchased 7 Fitbits in 3 years.

With tremendously baited breath, I will report that my charge 2 has been working with the latest app update on my iphone 5s for a full week, without having to log back in.  Prior to this week, it had constantly logged me out or refused to pair with bluetooth nearly continuously. I long ago deleted the app off my ipad, thinking there might be some conflict and I have not even let my fitbit one get anywhere near my iphone for fear it might too screw things up. That said, it seems to be working now.

I felt it only fair to report some progress, at least on my end, BUT (and here is the big BUT) I am terrified to update my iphone IOS to version 11, despite the constant reminders to do so, for fear that will again take me back to square 1.  Anyone else already done so (updated an iphone 5s with version 11 and can report success with the latest fitbit app?  (thanks in advance).

I have done all the updates: Charge 2, iPhone app and iOS 11.0.2.
With a 5, 5s and an iPad. Problems seem to be resolved - at least for me.

Update: I had to log in again this am. On my way home from work, started exercise on bike. One red bar of signal strength to iPad. Checked the app. Sure enough, had to log in yet again. After that, four green bars.

I’m telling you, IT IS A CONNECTIVITY ISSUE.

Still not getting any notifications on the watch. NONE. Not even with a great connection. Not even after just having logged in.

Is this how you sell your new watch??? I’m thinking Apple Watch.

FIX THIS!!!

Since my first post on Thursday, Oct. 5, I haven't experienced any issues pertaining to being logged-out.

Then a couple hours ago, I wanted to sync, so I opened up the FitBit app and, lo and behold, I've been logged out.

However, I did see something other posters are talking about. Yesterday, the Fitbit app appeared to freeze up on me. I had accidentally hit the "Community" button, and then I got the spinny thing, as if it were having problems loading up the feed. I kept trying to tap other things, but it was unresponsive. Eventually, the feed area was white (while the top and bottom navigation areas remained). Then the entire screen -- everything, so there was no UI, even the phone status bar up top was gone -- turned black. I ended up force closing the app and restarting it. But I didn't have to log in.

Once again, I have:

  • iPhone 6+, running iOS 11.0.1
  • Fitbit App 2.4.1
  • Charge 2, running v22.55.2
  • Have not run any updates of iOS or any other apps since.
  • I don't keep my bluetooth on all the time; it's usually only when I want to sync. I'll try keeping the bluetooth on for next couple of days, see if they affects anything.

Edit: Typos.

The app still is logging me out. I have a flex. It works fine for my husband who has an Alta.

Everything works fine for my wife who also uses both a Blaze and a Flex.

OK, here’s something new:

After having been forced to log in again, if I turn notifications off and back on again at the watch, followed by calling up the app notifications screen in the Fitbit app, then leaving it, once again the app shows 4 app notifications, and I start getting notifications on the watch again.

It seems I’ll have to do this at least twice a day now.

FIX THIS.

I am still having issues with this. Every morning I have lo log in, even thought I have updated the app to the lastest version.

I have 2.41(722) and it still logs me out randomly.  I am going to try uninstalling the app and re-installing.  I hope that helps.

V. 4.1 is still logging off on my iPhone 7? No updates to install. Very frustrating! Are fixed on the way?

It concerns me that this post almost two months old and the problem has not been fixed. Is a fix on the way?

Mine keeps logging me out too - I don't realize when it logs me out, just notice it refuses to sync or is missing info, and my HRM keeps stopping again. Charge2. Brand new as of only about a month ago - replacement for the last one that after the latest update constantly did not pick up HR. Latest update. iPhone 6. I keep the app open usually 24/7 - only close/reopen if I've had to use airplane mode to trick a wifi connection.

Some more new:

App says it is looking for my Blaze. I was able to sync now, but app was still looking. Battery went from green to yellow. I restarted the app, and now the Blaze is connected.

I’m telling you, this is a connectivity issue.

If the app could magically inform me that I'm logged out, or maybe an email if I haven't synced in a day, that'd be great. As of now, the issue still happens. I like not having to constantly check the app 😞

If it stays de synced for too long it'll take the app several years to grab the watch data.

We're running 2.41 and still getting this log-out error - especially when the app is closed. (in the past the username/password were saved by the app and returned automatically when app is launched).
