This is not solved!  I am on my fifth Fitbit but if I have to continue to log in or keep getting the SSL error and have to continue to delete the app and reinstall (which is not a solution and does not always work) I will look for another Fitness tracker… this is very frustrating to say the least.

FWIW, I haven't been logged out again yet, running 2.43 for 1w with iOS 11.1.2 on iPhone 6+.  It was always fairly intermittent for me: every 1-4 weeks I would have to log in again.  Also, I've experienced similar behavior with a few other apps, though never simultaneously.  Without deeper context it's hard to say if this could be a common iPhone development bug, rare core iOS bug, or what.

I have lots of apps on three iPhones and an iPad. This is the only app with the issue. Plus there wasn’t a problem until Fitbit pushed an update that they cannot conclusively fix. Only weak patches.

Just for the record, still having to login daily.   Time to move thread to version 2.43??

Having the same issue -- the past couple of days the app wants me to log in every morning and I have to restart my phone, turn Bluetooth on/off, reset password through the web, etc. And it's not clear which one of these steps ultimately works in the end. Frustrating!

I have version 2.43 and it seems worse than before. I’m having to log in every single time I open the app. -__- This has been going on for months...any closer to an ACTUAL solution???

I am having this same irritating problem.  How do I tell if I am using the app 2.43?  No update is listed as pending.

Probably the easiest way is to open the Fitbit app, click on the "Account"
icon at upper-right, just below the phone battery icon.
Then, scroll down to the "Help" menu item and press it. It shows me I'm
running Fitbit 2.43.1 (732).

For awhile after I updated to the latest version (2.43.1) it was working fine. But now it has started logging me out again.

To be clear, I am at the most recent version...situation seems to be getting worse.   My tolerance is wearing very thin.  My fitness stats don't require this level of security!!!

Yes, @Mathpup, I think most-to-all would agree that fitness stats don't require such a high level of security - which is why there is so much frustration - especially given the lack of disclosed insight into the problem.  So far I haven't seen the problem again on 2.43.1, but others have reported seeing it.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Any update on a fix for this? Still getting login errors, tried redownkoading, restarting ect. Please fix or I’m getting a Garmin

I still have the problem with logging me out, updated version 2.43.1

Great to see that I'm not the only one.  I actually thought I've done something, since it was the around the same time that I dowloaded fitbit on my I-pad.  I've had the same problem for months after "updating"...  What a downgrade.

logging in several times a day was a pain, so I just stop going to the app.  I hope this is solved soon.

Absolutely agree with all other commenters. I have version 2.43.1, am automatically logged out upon opening the app, forced to provide my login credentials time and time again, and upon providing such receive the "timed out" message.  FITBIT PLEASE FIX!! THIS IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING!

I had the issue as well but only "a few times" when abroad and was
connected to special WIFI setups like in hotels etc. Never have the issue
at home! It did not appear for month or so.

I am certainly not denying your problem reports but, as an engineer, I have
a difficulty to figure out why it is not clear how to reproduce it. Hence,
my godfeeling is that the issue is most probably caused by an incorrect
handling of HTTP/HTTPS error codes by the fitbit app. I suspect the app
repeatedly "fails" to connect to fitbit servers and decides to interpret
the failure as a "need to ask to relogin".

The only other reason I could see is a corrupted IOS data for the app but
then this should be solved by reinstalling the app.

Regards,

Philippe

My app only requires re-logging in when I'm at home. It happens randomly. If what you are saying is happening is the problem, is it a bug that Fitbit could fix with an update to the app? How easy should it be for them to fix?
