Battery level disappeared on new Fitbit app

The old app always showed my battery level in the upper right corner. The new app does not seem to show it anywhere. Am I missing something? I know I can swipe right on my Fitbit and I get an email when it’s low but it was handy to easily monitor it.

"Dude", I agree it's a step backwards and said just that many times right here. And stated it'll probably be put back. And also suggested people go to the suggestion forums and vote as well as complain there. I obviously have no problems agreeing it's a bad idea. But the fact is the Charge has a battery percentage indicator and app has 3 levels shown. So complain that you want the percentages on the app put back as everyone here has. But don't make stuff up and complain you got nothing now as some have been doing.

Vinny - Why are you unable to understand the benefit of reading the charge
level on the app when the device is charging and not on your wrist? Do you
believe that most of us hover over it to watch?

I agree it's a step backwards by Fitbit. I already stated that if my own device on my wrist now, which right now says 99 percent battery, instead said just FULL I would not like it. Full could mean 70 percent. It would be a step backwards. It IS a step backwards. I understand. It is a step backwards. Fitbit should and probably will fix put it back.

Go to the "feature suggestions" forum and let them know officially you want it put back. All of which I've already posted many times now. It worked for my Sense 2 screen not turning off issue when new Sense 2 came out. Once you turned on screen it would not shut off for at least 6 seconds or however long you have screen time set for. In middle of night to see what time it is was a pain to have to wait with that light one. Woke up the wife. So, I went to suggestion forum (this is the app/gallery issues forum) and said something about it along with many others and in one week Fitbit released a fix for it and now you can cover it with hand when you want to turn off your screen after viewing it. All of this I already stated many times now.

My point was simply that I never use the app itself because I can see it on my device easily by choosing a clock face that worked displayed what I wanted. And then all the comments saying their device had none at all available (true about the Flex although 1-5 bars still not bad and the Charge actually shows battery percentage tho small) and that the app itself was USELESS. Well, folks the app isn't useless because you can still see battery level. Even the last comment makes it sound like there is no reading on app and gott check device out. Wrong. It's just showing 3 levels, low medium and full. So stick with FULL then until Fitbit fixes it and stop pretending as if there is no battery level indicator on the app.

I want the actual percentage level back on the app !!!!

The Vinny - You repeat yourself, also.  I need to know the exact percentage BEFORE I start working out, prior to this release of this 'useless' new app face, I never had to look for battery percentage... I always knew that percentage BEORE I start, now I have to guess.

My watch will stop working every other day, even though I went to settings to use the 'battery saver' NOW the watch face fades, making it even harder to see.

I work out TWO hours a day. I have been trying to lose the weight I gained when I quit smoking. The weekend I quit, I gained five pounds in a 24 hour period. This is a symptom of heart disease.  This is why I work out two hours a day, and its still not enough.  I bought the fitbit, because I was able to prove to my doctors that I was REALLY WORKING OUT!

Now, you keep saying that all you have to do is use a new clock face, and you'll get your percentage because YOU and YOU ALONE, have a Simple Secretary Option, that nobody else has.

Don't you think I already did that?  IF IT WORKED WOULD I BE ON THIS BOARD COMPLAINING? Just because it worked out for you, Mr Smarty Pants, it does not mean I have the exact same make and model of fitbit and can perform the exact same function as you 'magically' have.

Now, you have judged me as 'stupid' and now sending that post to me, means you are condescending too!  I do not have that option on any of my clock faces, I have tried them all, the only thing I can actually see is the app page, and that DOES NOT PROVIDE THE INFORMATION I NEED! YOU KEEP 'BRAGGING' THAT YOU CAN GET A PERCENTAGE, THAT'S NOT HAPPENING FOR THE REST OF US!

Oh, and the Youtube you 'posted' was from a year ago.

You sure do seem upset that people found the feature useful.

I am very happy for them, but they should realize I found the feature valuable, they changed it, I cannot access it anymore, my workouts are useless - that makes me upset.

Also, if it works for you, great!  But telling people over and over again to use 'Simple Secretary' which does not work on all phones is useless information, not only are you aggravating people with, I have it, so can you, they are so myopic they do not understand that the face clock does not exist for others.

Hooray!

Maybe they'll give future "improvements" a bit more thought.

Great news - when someone actually sees it ( percentages) on their app can you please send a note to us all. It has become obvious thru this process that not every is getting / seeing the same thing - thanks

Glad this is getting updated. My Fitbit keeps dying because I’m not reminded by the battery at the top of the page and I’m losing sleep and HR tracking! I don’t always get the email reminder for some reason and I was starting to look at other trackers.

I want to use old app, and check battery level on app.

Ummm, that's not an answer.  How is Fitbit going to restore this functionality?

Best Answer
I have to say I'm a little disappointed because someone said it was going
to be restored but I just recently updated the app and it's still not
showing the percentage.

It's not that just that someone said it, Fitbit officially announced it. Doesn't give an exact date as to when but sounds like will be done shortly along with other changes. Here's the link. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/The-Pulse-Fitbit-Community-Blog/Your-Feedback-Matters-Updates-coming...
