Bluetooth error when syncing with iPhone 11 Pro

When I try to sync my Fitbit with my new iPhone 11 pro with iOs13, it fails and gives the error message that I need to enable Bluetooth (even though Bluetooth is running). Turning off/on Bluetooth or closing the app doesn’t help.

Hello,

Please help!  I have the Iphone proMax and just purchased the fitbit versa 2.  No matter what I do, the bluetooth on my phone does not pick up the fitbit.  I have tried the live chat and ALL the suggestions provided.  I have shut off the phone, charged the device, deleted the app and reinstalled, turned the bluetooth on and off, ensured my phone and the app were both up to date, I have removed all other fitbit devices from the app, NOTHING IS WORKING!  Please help!

So, we have to buy a new fitbit due to it not being compatible?? That is basically what you are saying. I have been a loyal fitbit user for 4 years and this is the thanks I get! We would never have this problem with a apple watch, they cost pretty much the same!

I can’t believe that I didn’t think of this myself. But it worked - so thank you!

I have followed all of the instructions on getting my new iPhone11 Pro to send notifications to my Fitbit.  I also called customer service.  CS told me there is a problem with the OS & Fitbit.  Hard to believe as this iPhone has been out for a while.  Ridiculous.

It’s hard to believe the 11pro won’t connect. I had the issue when I first got mine, but had forgotten to uninstall Fitbit from my previous phone and also to turn off Bluetooth. As soon as I did both of those things it immediately connected on the 11 pro and has worked perfectly ever since.

I have a surge and its not synching with my new phone.  Soooooo not happy about this.  the iphone 11 has been out long enough that this shouldn't be a problem cause the phone is "new".  Fix it!!!  Fitbit will lose another customer to apple watch at this rate.

Hello,

I am having this issue for the past months but as of 3 days ago it will just not synchronize. I have done ALL the steps a few times even with a FitBit agent. It is very annoying as I would expect my device to be able to function with one of the latest phones. Until you manage to fix this then I am sorry to say this but my FitBit is of no use 😞

Also having problem with fitbit not synching to computer either.  Keeps saying something about Fitbit Connect getting in the way.  I don't have fitbit connect.  I know my Surge is an older model, but it's about tot be the LAST fitbit I ever own.

Yes - I did all the usual tricks & it started working. I probably didn’t wait long enough & my self test was wasn’t adequate. Have someone send a msg for test.

I have an iPhone X.  When I updated the software it stopped syncing with my Inspire HR.......  I have done everything but a forced quit.  How do you force quit the App?

You just open it and swipe up.

I tried for a couple of hours with no luck, while doing everything that made sense. After reading your post and doing the same it worked! Turning the wifi off was the key action!

Happy that worked for you.  My final fix required 2 different moves.  First tell Bluetooth to “forget this device”.  Then put the Fitbit on the charger and reset.  Then I paired them again and all was good.  Second (this May be an Apple update) I cannot sync on another device or I have to do step one again......

Why does this sync issue continue to happen all the time? It is so frustrating.
