Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @mkostersitz.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Confirm if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  6. Sync your Fitbit and check your calories.

I'll be around if you need further help.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately this did not help and now the same happens on my Android phone.

Thank you for your reply, @mkostersitz.

I am sorry to hear the issue persists, thank you for your efforts. You can try removing the calories tile, restarting the app and then adding the tile back. For steps, see

In order to investigate further, could you confirm if the other tiles are updating properly? If possible, please provide a screenshot. You can find the instructions on how to share an image in this post

Looking forward to your comments.

Removing the "Understanding Calories" tile worked but I cannot find it in the list at the bottom to add it back (see screenshot)

And to confirm other tiles update correctly albeit with some delay in the case of the exercise and hourly activity tiles

Thank you for the update, @mkostersitz.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details, thank you for providing a screenshot. I would like to confirm if the issue affects the calories in the Food tile, and not the calories under "Today"? Please also provide the model and OS/version of your phones for further investigation.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

The Food Tile and the Today Tile both show the correct calories in and out. It is the premium "Understanding Calories" tile that does not update at all.

I see the issue on:

  • Microsoft Surface Duo (Android 10)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 5G (Android 10)
  • iPad Pro 10" 2018 model iOS 14
  • iPhone SE 2020 model iOS 14
