Cannot full %BF in weight log

Hey there, the latest IOS update seems to have reduced the number of digits permitted under fat percentage.  Can this be restored?  It may not be perfectly accurate, but my scale display fat percentage up to a tenth, so I need four digits (including the decimal).  Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I tried but unfortunately not the solution. Hope it
starts working for me again soon as well!

I hope so too @Cat1085

On a side note I did notice that your last post contained your phone number and real name. You should remove that. You can do so by tapping the three small dots that appear on the upper right corner of your post. Tap “edit” in the drop down menu, remove your phone number and name then tap submit again.😉

@morsel @Mike_Schiemann   My app finally updated to v 3.11 and the problem is there for me, too.

@Mariejotje   Are you having problems manually entering weight or percent body fat?  Fitbit is aware of a problem entering percent body fat since an app update (to v 3.11).

The moderator suggested using the web dashboard to make entries until the issue is fixed.  No timetable was given.

After updating to 3.11.1 (912) yesterday, the iPhone Fitbit app won't let me add a decimal number like 17.3 for body fat percent.  The decimal is greyed out and I am restricted to 2 digits.  I can send a pic if needed.  How to reports bugs or is this where I do it?

Yep, I’m seeing this on 3.11.1(912). I can’t type the decimal/more than 2 digits (oh to have the problem of single digit fat %).

Since upgrading Fitbit software to 3.11.1 3 days ago I can no longer manually enter % body fat to 1 decimal spot. The software will only take whole numbers (ie. I used to be able to enter 25.6 but now I have to enter 26). It’s important to me to see the small progress as I lose weight. Is anyone else having this problem? I’m using the software on an iPhone 8. Thanks!

I have been entering my Body Fat % manually for the last few years, however, for the last 5 days or so, I cannot enter a decimal value. It will only take whole numbers. (I try to enter 22.5, it will only enter 22).  Please help!

@Ubiwaan   Yes, this issue started with a recent iOS app update.  A moderator suggested manually entering the value in the web dashboard until it is fixed.

I am going to merge you post with the existing thread.

Hi everyone. So I found a fix that worked for me. I logged in to the dashboard on a web browser and input a decimal. Then, when I opened the app again and it synced, the decimal point showed up. Now, I can change the decimal in the app. Give it a shot - I hope it works for you too!!

It doesn't work for me. I can edit with decimals using the web browser,
but when I try to edit that same number using the app, the entire fat %
number blanks out, and it won't let me re-enter it with a decimal. So, the
bug persists (and this is after my phone downloaded an update to the app
today, so I'm now on 3.12 (913) with the same bug).

This started happening a couple of weeks ago. I'm tracking my weight and body fat.  While I can enter a decimal point and number(s) when logging my weight, I can no longer do this with my body fat percentages.  Please fix this!

I'm having just the opposite issue.  I enter only whole numbers and it comes up with xx.9lbs lost.  Where is the .9 coming from, I don't use decimals at all when logging weight loss.

I have an iPhone 11 with iOS v13.3 and FitBit v3.13 and the problem still persists some 2 months after it was first reported.  Is there an estimated date with a fix for this error?

I just updated to 3.13

iphone Xr

iOS 13.3

still no decimal input for body fat %
this should be an easy fix.
put it in your next sprint.
add it to your regression tests so it doesn’t happen again.
