Fitbit Update 9/19/16
This issue where users experience a red "(not synced)" error next to their exercise logs on the iOS App has been resolved with the release of iOS App version 2.27. Click here to update your App if you haven't already.
Thanks you for everybody's patience while we worked this one out!
Fitbit Update 5/23
There is currently a bug where some iOS users see a red "(not synced)" error next to some of their exercise logs. Our team is aware and currently working on fixing this bug. Apologies for any inconvenience that this creates.
Please do not uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit App, uninstalling/reinstalling the Fitbit App could cause data loss. If possible, I would also recommend logging activities on Fitbit.com until a fix is available.

This is a joke. The app (iOS) just updated and helpfully informed me it was "Cleaning things up for me" my unsynced run was deleted. The unsynced run was the half marathon I have spent the last few months training for and the reason I have the fitbit in the first place.
Support via twitter helpfully told me to log the data manually. What a joke. I have lost all the split times, heart rate data, elevation. To say I am not happy is an understatment.
The app is a waste of time if you want to do anything more serious than a 10 min walk to the shops.
I should have learned my leason when other long (10 mile) runs did not sync.
So hopefully google will pick up on this and stop other people from suffering the same fate. The iOS app is a waste of time for long runs. It cannot sync your data to the website and will delete it when you update the app.

8/29 - Walk - 1:33:30 (5610 seconds) - GPS/HR/steps sync FAIL
8/31 - Walk - 1:22:50 (4970 seconds) -GPS/HR/steps sync SUCCESS
9/5 - Walk - 1:29:01 (5341 seconds) -GPS/HR/steps sync SUCCESS
9/6 - Walk - 1:30:01 (5401 seconds) -GPS/HR/steps sync SUCCESS
I won't be able to do a 90 minute walk today. Anyone want to try a GPS track that ends at 1:31:01?

Good grief, this has gone on long enough, hasn't it? I mean, there has to be something that happened at a particular point in time, because a year ago this wasn't happening. My long (9-11 miles; 2 1/2-5 hours) hikes synced easily and quickly--no problem. So, it's not like fitbit has never worked properly before. It simply appears as if fitbit doesn't care about fixing this problem, because you pretty much have to know what's causing it. If one day it worked and the next day it didn't... well, backtracking on that doesn't sound too difficult.
It looks like I'm going to be shopping for a Garmin.

I've lost track of how often I've had to re-explain this issue back to Fitbit. There's obviously no dialogue between the customer support and technical teams - the lack of understanding exhibited here has been astonishing. It's beyond a joke.
Map My Walk does the job REALLY well, I wish I'd found it earlier. I'm no longer interested in this issue being fixed.

It's been over 3 months and radio silence from Fitbit. Has this bug been squashed?.. Is someone working on it? Maybe mention "new Apple watch" to the folks in chrage of competitiveness, there?

It's Sept. 9th will there be an update fixing this bug soon?
I was gifted with a fitbit flex yesterday and ran into this not syncing problem today. Really upset to see that this has been a problem for many months now with no resolution in sight. Also, unhappy about the lack of response from the company.

Hi Derrick,
It's been a few months (since may) since your development team has had a chance to fix this bug.
Please provide an estimated update - otherwise you might find a wave of FitBit Charge 2 being sent in for failure to perform as advertised.
Regards,
Jon.

I was gifted with a Fitbit flex yesterday (Sept. 8th) and it tracked my exercise successfully. However, my first problem was that it missed active minutes. I walked for 5 miles and it only gave me 9 of my total 94 active minutes from that exercise.
Today, I walked 6.92 miles and I received 0 active minutes out of the total 42 from that exercise. It also failed to sync my tracked exercise. I had to manually enter it in from the Fitbit website before it showed up on the iOS app.
I've restarted the app, logged off and logged back on and nothing helped. The only I didn't do was restart the tracker because I'm worried I'll lose all my data or everything will get messed up.

Hi,
I first reported this issue in May. Hoping you will have an update for me.
I can't manually enter custom activities on the IOS app. When I do, it says "not synched, try again to synch, but will never work even if youtry again. I can enter custom activities on the website dashboard, but would like to see this functionality returned to the App. Are they working on this issue?

Hallo? Fitbit are you out there listening?
I have been using these products and the iOS app for several years and this is a new and very real inconvenience. The data is there and sometimes it will eventually sync. I had two days exercise sync almost a week later then lost a couple more days troubleshooting last week.
