Fitbit Update 9/19/16

This issue where users experience a red "(not synced)" error next to their exercise logs on the iOS App has been resolved with the release of iOS App version 2.27. Click here to update your App if you haven't already.

Thanks you for everybody's patience while we worked this one out!

Fitbit Update 5/23

There is currently a bug where some iOS users see a red "(not synced)" error next to some of their exercise logs. Our team is aware and currently working on fixing this bug. Apologies for any inconvenience that this creates.

Please do not uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit App, uninstalling/reinstalling the Fitbit App could cause data loss.  If possible, I would also recommend logging activities on Fitbit.com until a fix is available.

I have this problem only when I start MobileRun on my iOS app. Data provided from ChargeHR are synced but no way to sync GPS, minutes per km and altitude.

Updated the app and had an 8 mile run today that did not sync at first. The "Not Synced" error was showing, and most of the data (splits, map, heart rate, etc.) didn't show up. I tapped to try and sync the exercise and the message went away, but the data still wasn't displaying until I quit the fitbit app and reopened it. At that point, the run had synced, showing map, splits, heart rate from my charge hr, etc.

Seems a bit odd that I had to tap to manually sync, then reboot the app, but at least my data is there! I plan on running a few longer runs within the week (13+ miles), so I'll report back then.

How do you "reboot" the app?

By "reboot", I just mean double tapping the home button on the iPhone, swiping up on the app to close it, then relaunching the app by tapping on the Fitbit icon again.

My tracked exercise isn't syncing suddenly as of yesterday. When will a fix be available? I'm disappointed that Fitbit is aware of the issue with a large number of users and no fix available?????
Hope this issue gets addressed soon. Most Fitbit users rely on it in great part for exercise tracking and goal setting.

It is now mid-June. This problem appeared back in March. Is there any hope that FitBit will resolve this issue something in the millennium? It can't be all that hard. Just go back to what you (and the app) used to do, when everything worked as expected.

It is obvious Fitbit is not concerned or not capable of taking care of this problem. I mentioned previously the multiude of tracker options available, I am choosing one of those. I am disgusted with the wasted time and money. I seriously doubt I will have anything very nice to say about this company or it's products. Good luck to those of you stuck with this junk.

Weird! I had my 15 mile run sync yesterday, map with mileage marks and splits!!! I did nothing different than the other 6 times when it didn't sync, riddle me that fit bit!!!!

I thought if that run worked my past ones would sync and show me splits, but nope! Just rationalizing , how will runs from early May sync and show splits, does the data really stay that long??? Hard to conceptualize.

I ran 13.2 miles this morning. It still has not synced. I tried to sync several times today. The 6.6 mile run yesterday synced within seconds of me finishing.

I am using iphone 6s. I didn't have this problem when I had an iphone 5s last year.

When will this issue be fixed?

Both my 7 Km hikes Saturday And today's, just synced no problem. This after twenty or thirty try's over the past 2 days.

Thanks Ron.

I thought I read that if I logged out and then sync again it should work. Instead it is no longer on my phone. Just disappeared. This is not good. I worked really hard at the 13.17 mile run this morning. I loose it is not making me happy. I have an iPhone 6s and wearing charge hr. Both are updated.

@DebLee once you log out, it's gone. Fitbit Support had me do that and I lost all my I synced workouts. This was before they admitted there is a problem. It's quite frustrating.

I did another 9 mile walk this morning and got the not synced message again. Last week this did sync after 2 days. Will see what happens. Why is there no update from Fitbit support?

Although I refuse to waste any more time on the Fitbit App itself here is a work around of sorts. Open Fitbit.com on your phone, enter the details of the workout and at least it will then update the app itself. The website is difficult to navigate on phone easy on laptop. Still hoping fitbit will throw some developers at the problem with the App. Really making you guys look bad.

The only workaround I have found is open fitbit.com on your phone in Safari or Chrome, not the app. Once you do the udpates at the website they will show up on your app next time you open and close it.
