I had the same thing happen with mine. The first time it happened I couldn't find any information on how to correct the problem because I wasn't getting an error message, my fitbit just stopped in mid update and had a line though the face, half solid and half empty. I thought it was dead so I got a new one and it just happened again! Luckily I had the error message and was able to google it and find this forum. I updated my ios, deleted and reinstalled the fitbit app and preformed the "forget device" on Bluetooth. it is working now. Thank you. Much frustration.

Not sure if you have it figured out yet but you need to take your watch off of bluetooth (forget this device) and then you should be able to do the update. I had the same problem. Good luck!

Thanks a lot Dawn. This actually happened to my Charge HR while downloading latest update and then I turned off the Bluetooth on my iPhone during the update by mistake.
My fitbit was showing a progress bar on its screen with an 'exclamation point' symbol in the middle and it was frozen on it.
Following your steps made it complete the update.
Thanks again!
Sam

My Fitbit won't even tune on now. It is fully charged, but will not respond to anything. Junk!!!
