Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/22
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

When I get to the Weekend warrior screen I would see, somewhat grayed out,
at the bottom of the page, "Active Challenge Limit Reached" and then I
can't do anything further on that page except x out. This would happen when
I had less than 10 challenges and was able to accept challenges.
Right now I am maxed out and can't help much with testing since I have to
wait until a challenge ends.

That’s happening to me too. Even the “rematch” button is failing. Even worse, I can’t accept new invitations

Hi @bmwz3_diane, @Cbates2, @Janefaber, @dkrouse1, @Steppenwolf88, @gracey1162, @FatherofTwo919, @EnigmaticSoul, @PeachieT, @RhiWilder, @Kathi414, @AndrewGawin, @SaraintheDesert, @mudbayhippie, @SunsetRunner, @Loobylou55, @Flubbery and @OwenC, welcome on board. I'm glad to see new faces around. @twingo69, @sully1311, @Espionage, @keohke, @Arcticsnow17, @Richarddorffam, @bradnsj, @richmix, @Poppyrussell, @sosico, @Robyn-TWR, @Jgrffnyc, @yourghosts, @sebastian747, @Yatzpye, @greghei1, @SarahRy. Nice to see you here. @Rich_Laue, thanks for your great help, as well for the screenshot provided. I'm sorry for my delayed response.
I appreciate all of you for taking the time to share your feedback about the new dashboard. As it has been mentioned before, our team will keep reviewing your comments to improve your experience with the Fitbit app. Currently there isn't an option to return to the previous dashboard, your comments will not go unnoticed.
@bmwz3_diane, thanks for sharing that the floors aren't being recorded, as well for trying the restart. Just to confirm, do you mean that the Fitbit app doesn't show the floors recorded? Or is your Ionic not recording any floor? Your device will register one floor when you climb about 10 feet at one time, and some factors may prevent this from happening. I'd recommend to clean your device to make sure there is nothing obstructing the altimeter. For instructions, see this article.
@Cbates2, @twingo69, @gracey1162 and @FatherofTwo919, thanks for letting me know that you have the old dashboard. As @sully1311, mentioned, our team is still progressively rolling out this new dashboard. Be sure that you'll receive it soon.
@Arcticsnow17, @Robyn-TWR and @OwenC, thanks for bringing this to my attention, as well for the steps that you've tried to get the challenges working correctly. To further investigate, please confirm your iPhone's model and iOS version. Also, take a screenshot and attach it in your reply showing the error message about reaching the limit of challenges. Now, regarding the challenges going at the top every day, does this affect all the challenges? If not, let me know the name of the challenge that doesn't stay in the edited position.
@Janefaber and @sebastian747, thanks for sharing that your devices are unable to sync. May I know the model of your Fitbit device? Have you updated the Fitbit app to the 3.1 version? Please make sure there aren't other Bluetooth connections nearby, as that will prevent your Fitbit devices from syncing. Also, please try the following steps if you've not done so:
@keohke, thanks for joining the conversation, as well for taking the time to contact our Support Team. I see where are you coming from, and I'm sorry that you had this experience. May I know your iPhone's model and iOS version? Have you updated the Fitbit app to the 3.0 or 3.1 version? Also, please provide me with a screenshot about the discrepancy with the calories left for the day. For instructions to attach a picture in your reply, check this post.
See you around.

f@LizzyFitbit @I think you might find it’s too little too late. I personally know 6 people who have already switched to either a Garmin or Apple Watch in the last week as a result of the change to the app. Sadly for Fitbit most people won’t bother giving feedback in a forum.

Yeah I would say you are spot on there. Such a shame when all they have to do is provide a
simple opt out or revert to previous dashboard option. Soon we won’t be
able to even use their app if we aren’t using the most up to date iOS
version anyway so it won’t be that long before a lot of their previously
loyal customers switch to one of their competitors in the market that
better suits our needs.

Since the latest update, is anyone else’s location services icon always on now and either solid or hollow? I’m pretty sure this never used to be the case and would be on when you were using connected GPS.
On another note, are you any closer to fixing the heart rate graph bug where the vertical axis is wrong? It still hasn’t been fixed in 3.1 (please see below)
Another annoying thing is new challenges always appearing at the top of the dashboard. I have to move them down to the bottom each time. Can you fix this please so you can understand the preference that some users don’t want it at the top?

I am using an iPhone X using IOS 12.3.1
I could understand Fitbit’s position to not allow rollback to the previous layout if the request to do so was based on not liking the colours, or such things - but for many of us this layout is seriously broken and day by day, for me at least, it seems more breaks each day. Respectfully I say to you that we aren’t your beta testers and Fitbit should not have released this version in its current state.
* I can’t sneak peak
* i cannot start a new challenge. The attached pic is an example of what I see when I try to do so. This happens with every type of challenge & I am not at my challenge limit
* I cannot accept most challenge invitations. Some I can, but today I found that most just crash when I try to join
* the rematch button only works some of the time.
* none of the challenges stay put when I sort them. They stay put for a while, maybe a few hours, but at maximum until midnight

Lizzy - As I’ve mentioned in posts before my iPhone is up to date. I have an iPhone X and I have the most up to date version of the Fitbit app. No updates are needed. Clearly it is Fitbit and not my phone or WiFi connection. I have zero issues with anything else in my home or any other app. But I have to add the WiFi to the app daily to get it to sync. Unacceptable!
I cannot move anything around on this new version of the app. It will not let me. And based on other comments, what would be the point as it just reverts back the next day. Fitbit failed in the roll out and clearly does not care since it took you weeks to respond.
The layout of this new version is awful! It is not user friendly at all. I’m not sure with whom you beta tested on but clearly they are not regular users of the app. I for one rely heavily on this app to track my health which I feel I cannot do with easy at this point.
I’ve complained for months about issues with my Versa and have had zero results from Fitbit. You want me to do all the reset steps again and again when is it enough and you just admit there are issues with the devise? I bought it direct from Fitbit therefore you should be able to look up the serial number.
I want to know the action plan on the part of Fitbit for the following:
1) the issues with the Versa no syncing
2) the issues with the app and the inability to permanently move things to maybe make it user friendly
3) the issues with the challenges and in the inability to accept new ones or to rematch
4) provide options to make the setting larger and able to read them easier. Or the option to convert back to the tiles we once had.
It is clear the Fitbit has several angry users. Especially the iPhone users. Fitbit needs to fully address these issues or risk losing more customers.

Oh and my Fitbit app version is 3.1 and my iPhone is 12.3.1. The most current versions of both. And I would suggest you up the pictures in the Apple App Store since they still show the old more user friendly screen shot

Definitely keep with old if possible can't read all info on face of phone anymore have to scroll extremely slow to sync useless sleep fractions added that make no sense good luck.

07-21-2019 07:08
@Donottemember what sleep fractions are you seeing. My sleep statistics both on the sleep screen and dashboard look identical to the last dashboard.

I can’t see my weight on the dashboard anymore. I can only see how much I’ve lost and how far I’m from my goal. I want to be able to have all the information easily available. Isn’t there any way I can choose what information I want displayed? I wish I could change the layout to tiles with more information.

Sure there is @Alhg as mentioned above. Tap discover / health and fitness. From here you may add or remove tiles on the dashboard.

Thanks, but that’s not the issue. I have the weight part there, but it doesn’t show my weight. I want to see my weight in addition to how much I have lost.
