On my iPhone screen there is a number 96 on the Fitbit app and I can’t see why?

Best AnswerYes! That did it. I had the number five showing but as soon as I looked at notifications it went away. Thanks so much!
Best AnswerI have 98. Just appeared today
Best AnswerI have 101 in red attached to my Fitbit app on my home screen. It wont’t go away. I have deleted the Fitbit app and reinstalled it several times; inbetween turning my iPhone off and on. It is still there. Please help.
@Gangang Several users posted similar comments. Some users said it happened with an iOS update. Fitbit seems to be aware. I am merging your post with an existing thread in the iOS forum.

Best AnswerOpen Fitbit app & click on the Message tab top right . Then select Notifications at top next to Messages . All notifications display , the red number on the Fitbit icon will disappear. Cheers
Best AnswerYes it works. For whatever reason all notifications that had previously been read were showing up as what would usually be a non-read notification. I deleted them all and went back to messages where it showed I didn’t have any and then went back to the notifications and they all reappeared again! I deleted them once again, went totally out of the App and then went back in and all notifications were gone. This worked.
thanks
Best AnswerVery odd but I’ve just checked my app and they’ve gone. I did turn off notifications this morning so not sure if that’s anything to do with it.
I don't have the answer. But I wanted to thank you for the picture and mentioning that is on iPhone. I have seen several mentions of a red number in the past few days that make me want to scream 'include a screen cap so I can see what you are talking about', but you are the first I have seen to actually include a screen cap so I can understand they are talking about; and also perhaps first to bother mentioning it is on iPhone.
Hi all,
I think im being a bit thick, but I can’t seem to work out something. On my iPad the image of the Fitbit app has a number on the top right of it. I’m assuming it might be some messages or something like that. Where do I go to find what the number means.?
TIA Sue

Hi I’m having same issues- icon showing 100, when open app it says I have no messages. If I log out and in again it disappears then reappears when I go into app !? Confused - and can’t be bothered logging out all the time ... any ideas would be appreciated.
When you say notifications do you just mean messages? I haven’t any but icon shows 100?
