I just did the update on the app and still my Charge 3 is not found . I know this is a problem from Apple’s update but this has been ongoing since last week. When will this be fixed?

I was frustrated too but the chat person got me a fix. First, FYI, before i even contacted the agent in desperation, i had already delated my Charge and hadn’t been able to get it reinstalled. I had also removed and reinstalled the Fitbit app before contacting support. So I don’t know if these steps were important to my eventual success.

The support person told me to go to Bluetooth, press i and press “forget this device” Then she told me to reInstall the Charge. Once it paired I pressed install per the instructions and then a 4 digit number came up on my watch (this didn’t happen previously). I followed the directions and voila, FINALLY I got my watch to sync.
FYI, it kept the data from my steps, but didn’t have any data from my sleep since the May 8 th date when I had installed the Apple update.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your information. I ended up waiting to speak to a live person and with her help I was able to get back up and running with all my information returning from the prior days including my sleep time.I only hope that it will continue to keep working as it was very frustrating.

I’ve owned 3 Fitbits, a One, a Charge HR and now a Charge 3. Although I like the look of the Charge 3 (have a mesh metal band) I have always had difficulty getting it to sync. I have to do a restart by plugging into the charger,  pressing the button until I gets smiley face, then I can get it to sync.  I never had a problem with getting the One or Charge HR to sync. I liked how the Charge HR functioned, but didn’t care for its looks and being mostly plastic, it fell apart so had to throw it in the trash. And more recently I had to resurrect an old iPhone to get the Charge 3 to sync.   Although I like the looks of the Charge 3, I’m seriously thinking of looking at fitness trackers made by other manufacturers. Anyone found one made by another manufacturer that looks as good as the Charge 3 but functions better?

Today, out of desperation, I eliminated my charge 3 from my iPhone Bluetooth history and went to the app to sign out etc, and the app found my phone and is working for now before I even had to delete the app. We’ll see how long it lasts. My history carried because I was updating on an older iPad.

Thank you 2marsuccess for your instructions! Followed them to the letter and I’m back up and running - excuse the pun!
And thank you to Fitbit for the update. A lot of happy people now I hope.

Thank you so much! I spent close to an hour on the phone with fitbit today and they were not able to fix the problem as you did! Much appreciated!!

Please note everyone.... there is now a new version of he fitbit App available on the app store (v3.21). Even though my Charge 3 has now been working for 3 days I crossed my fingers and uploaded the new version.

Glad to say that my charge 3 is still synching OK.

I'm guessing this new version may include a fix which Fitbit had been circulating sneakily somehow just to see the reaction and to see if people said that it worked.

If you're still having trouble upload the new version of the App

I have uploaded the new version and there is no change whatsoever.... still not connecting ... and yes I installed, uninstalled, reinstalled and done everything.... Fitbit have still not reverted to me despite emailing but they did say it could be up to seven days... I’m finished with Fitbit... time to explore other systems I think but will await correspondence

Please refer to my post re “forget” this device.
Good luck.
I was almost ready to get a new device too but now I’m a happy camper.

Thinking another poster had the answer by resetting iPhone back to factory settings I thought ‘worth a go’.

So I did just that - reset the iPhone back to factory settings but guess what. It didn’t work.

Still waiting for Fitbit to get it sorted. Not impressed

I suggest that you actually call them and go thru the process with them they can actually see when you connect. It’s worth the wait rather than reading an email from them. It took 10 mins before I got to speak to someone but after that I’m up and running with all info updated. Good luck.

Well, I guess I spoke too soon, as the fix on both my iphone and ipad did not last long. The good news is I got faster at going through the steps and getting it to work again, but shortly thereafter my tracker was no longer recognized by my bluetooth or able to sync on either device.

As for uploading the new version of the fitbit app, the app store did not seem to offer that option. Each time I reinstalled the app I assumed they were offering the most recent update Is there a place on the app that states the version? Anyway, the plan now is to get at least one of the devices to work each day to reflect my activity, and keep that up until Apple comes up with a fix.

Don't expect anything from Apple because it's not Apple's fault. With Windows 10 I have the same problem. Maybe they want transfer us to Google, the new owner of Fitbit. I'm just not saying too much more here because the moderator is already removing messages where I express me negative about Fitbit. I think this message will also be deleted soon.

I don’t believe it’s an apple problem really... it’s a Fitbit problem...
they should update their apps accordingly to comply and communicate with
Apple...I’m aware Apple are constantly updating their software ... I’m not
sure of the benefit but why does some phones facilitate Fitbit app whilst
others don’t. I’ve spent a so much time on this, I have relatively new
iPhone 8, and charge 2 ... sick of it all to be honest .. I’m still waiting
for Fitbit to respond as promised ..that promise now 6 days ago
